Time + tide
Swedish brand Tusenö has made a bold move. It left the genre of excellent sports watches and jumped into the vintage genre with very strong strength. After the successful release of the Shellback V1 and V2, and Windseeker V1 and V2, Super Intage could be aesthetically separate beasts, but it pays the same level of refinement and attention to detail in the design and mechanical department as the other two models. It looks familiar, but doesn’t look like anything else we’ve seen before. It appears to have been designed half a century ago, as if Tusenö had reissued a vintage model that was not present, but was resolutely built for modern enthusiasts. Unlike the actual vintage pieces, it is made of good things, so there is no need to pay attention to super intages.
case
The first and most important visual characteristic of Tusenö superintage is its rectangular curved case. Although there are no angles or sharp edges, it has the most elegant and smooth pebble-like shape, designed by human hands, but is naturally built in the millennium. It was designed to showcase double curvature as it tilts downward from both sides (at 3 and 9) and above the furthest edges of the case (12 and 6) and lugs, and bends smoothly towards the center with an uninterrupted continuous curve.
The roundness of the case is emphasized by the completely refined processing of the latter and the fact that it flows towards the screwed caseback. This case is designed to look like a shiny, smooth monolith without the sides, bezels, or lugs.
Due to its diameter 34.5mm, lug-to-lug 40.5mm, height 8.7mm and conservative dimensions, Tusenö’s super interge is very well worn and light on the wrist, but the unique shape of the case commands the presence of a strong, contradictory wrist. Here it is drawn on a 6.5 inch/16.5cm wrist, and is in all cases and is displayed larger than it actually is on paper due to the lack of lugs. Additionally, the fully polished treatment of the double curved body of 316L stainless steel follows the natural contours of the wrist following the width and round surfaces of the skin slides and turns lined up.
The bespoke shaped case pairs with comparable bespoke crystals made of sapphire, complemented by several layers of reflective coating, and complements small push/pull crowns in the shape of small push/pull crowns, like buttons wrapped in thin rope details, allowing easy manipulation of the angled grips.
Dial
Tusenö superintage was inspired by the golden age of dress watches. This is a type of watch that you wear while drinking a classy cocktail. Therefore, there are three different colors, each named after a drink. The mojito and its fresh mint green dial and frost center section mimic crushed mint and ice. The Espresso Martini features a rich brown colour scheme and a central section of texture that represents creamy foam. And the negroni reflects the density of the cocktail, whose intense redness and texture are poured onto the ice.
Each variant of Supervintage also comes with two main complementary colors separated from each other by the center part of the dial, but it displays more in the fully formed egg shape. The dial is therefore in the shape of a case and bezel, a continuity interrupted by the time and moment of hand of polished dome leaves.
The latter is exceptionally designed and created, perfectly proportional to the hand of time rotates within the central portion of the oval shape of the dial. In each variation of the Super Intage, the central section is surrounded by painted boundaries attached to slightly stylized Arabic numbers that look like sloping vintages that may remind you of the California logotype of the 1970s.
Everything about Tusenö superintage is intensely familiar and idiosyncratic at the same time. Furthermore, the complex interaction of textures in different sectors of the dial is very fascinating, with each dial coming with its own structure. For example, the Mojito version is complemented by the subsecond register of the dial and the sunburst effect in the outer part. The bonus refers to Tusenö about embellishing each pinion with a small chamfered cap!
strap
Often, when brands keep themselves out of the way to create an entirely new design, they generally spend a lot of effort on designing and manufacturing the straps. Each model comes in two lengths and two colors, with a thin, soft Italian leather strap fitted with a quick release spring bar, an oval buckle, measuring 18mm with the lug and tapering to 14mm.
Movement
Furthermore, Tusenö did not skip things when choosing movements to equip the latest creations. I chose the top grade manual winding ETA 7001, which runs at 4Hz and comes with a 42-hour power reserve, blue screw and coat degeneve finish.

All three versions of The Supervintage can be pre-ordered from July 30th to August 6th, 2025 via Tusenö’s online store. Deliveries for the first quarter of 2026 are estimated.
