Remember the cheeky bullying of the unreleased Golden Seamaster with a burgundy bezel on Daniel Craig’s wrist? Today we found out that this watch was eventually introduced to the world, and is called the Omega Seamaster 300m Diver Bronze Gold and Burgundy. Between the two debut compositions, one is especially the first Omega watch with a full bronze gold case and bracelet. Let’s take a look at this hot and anticipated clock and a small timeline of events.

Backstory
Despite the end of the bond tenure, Daniel Craig remains a powerful ambassador for Omega, and his wrists are routinely used as a tool to leak releases in a calculated and strategic way. It’s there.
He first did it with a crisp, white Omega Speedmaster, a steel sailor with a black wave dial at the Olympics in August. That very Seamaster debuted three months later in November. This resembles the white dial speedy released just four months after being initially teased.
His latest stunt saw him at the LA Governors Awards, but once again he is an unreleased sailor. Like the Olympic-taunted Black Seamaster, this new Bronze Gold Seamaster’s debut with a Burgundy bezel arrived almost four months after the initial bullying. Perhaps this is a formula for caution…but enough Craig’s story. Let’s get into specs and something you may not have expected.
case
Still 42mm in diameter, 13.8mm thick and 49.7mm lagtoo lug, the 300-meter water-resistant case is made from Omega’s proprietary bronze gold. In a quick review, Omega’s bronze gold is a bronze alloy concentrated with 37.5% gold and a private amount of palladium and silver, which is distinctive as 9K. This ultimately net is a bronze and gold hybrid with a bluish pink hue, but is also very stable and corrosion resistant. However, Omega does not claim that it is not easily affected by aging or patina. Aging occurs very slowly, but it never reaches a point where there is an oxidation like green gigris. In other words, it never becomes super gross.
Interestingly, Omega chose to run the case with a full brush rather than a mixed finish style. There is no mirrored accent at all. The same can also be said for mesh bracelets. As a result, the case feels brighter as the mirror provides a darker contrast is not polished surface. This is a diving watch at the end of the day, so it definitely suits the look, but I was hoping to know what a mixed draft of this design would look like. Framing the dial is one element that we were all 100% sure about when Craig first mocked the watch: the Burgundy timing bezel. The one-way bezel insert is made from aluminum as expected. This is the more common insert material for the Seamaster Diver 300M model in combination with a mesh bracelet.
Dial
We most predicted that new Burgundy seafarers (perhaps lazy) would have had black wave dials, but omitted the model’s signature pattern for sandblasted finishes. It provides a texture feel while also providing a subtle look that allows the case’s colour and bezel to be a star in the show. The applied index of the black frame is a detail I particularly enjoy as the surround blends into the dial. This gives it a more vintage look, using painted indexes rather than being applied and filled. The overall bright material retains the Fauxtina of the No Time To Die Model and matches very well with the hue of the bronze gold case. There is also no date window to suspend the dial. So purists can be pleased with the fact.
Movement
Inside and on display is the in-house automatic caliber 8806, a meta-certified coaxial movement with a 55-hour power reserve. The familiar robust caliber is highly contagious (up to 15,000 Gauss) and is accurate within 0/+5 seconds per day. Although industrially completed, Omega has always done an incredible job of decorating the Caribbean to a level worthy of display, but the arabesque waves applied to the bridge are very eye-catching.
strap
As mentioned earlier, Omega Seamaster Bronze Gold and Burgundy are available in two configurations. Seeing the sailors on a black rubber strap is not something you’d unfamiliar with any stretch, but the black rubber straps on this channel have a bronze gold pin buckle, and the first of its features. What’s even more exciting is that Omega has introduced its first ever bronze gold bracelet in all styles, and is worthy of being mesh in this case. It’s a very silky, comfortable bracelet with a folding clasp, but you’re probably hoping it won’t take up much bulk. Nonetheless, it is a lovely bracelet. Using the first ever bronze gold bracelet, it’s exciting to see how Omega takes its full bronze gold model into price range.
Verdict (and the inevitable pricing discussion)
For the rubber strap, the price for Omega Seamaster Bronze Gold and Burgundy is $13,900 USD. It has a retail price of $13,600 on the leather strap, taking into account the bronze gold debut Seamaster 300 Heritage model introduced three years ago. Moving on to the bracelet, I think some people might be hit with sticker shocks here. If you want to buy this watch with a case matching bracelet, the retail price is set at USD 27,900. This is just over twice the cost of a rubber strap variant.
However, running the current catalog offering makes it more meaningful to start (at least a little) at the very least. Believe it or not, the only current sailor with a solid gold case and bracelet is the James Bond 60th anniversary model in Canops Gold. However, considering that its exquisitely gem set bezel hikes prices over 150,000 USD, you can’t really use it as a reference. Really, the only benchmark within the sailor range (aside from the aforementioned bronze gold heritage model) is that the 300m Seamaster Diver in Moonshine or Sedona Gold is priced at USD 29,300. Looking at the pricing of Omega’s Speedmaster model will help you complete the photo. The solid gold on the strap costs speedy $30,200. Adding a solid gold bracelet is $42,600 USD. It’s useful, but there’s no Bronze Gold Speedmaster covering all the bases.
That being said, with all of these price references in mind, if there is a fully solid gold sailor with no jewels, then it’s likely that a price of 40,000 USD will be sold. So, with the bronze gold sailor equation and the hypothetical solid gold sailor equation, the bronze gold savings would be around USD 12,100, but that’s not insignificant. If we remove emotions from the equation and evaluate this price structure in a measured level of method, this cannot be explained in a “fair or unfair” binary. It’s not personal, it’s just business. And that’s a gorgeous business. In my opinion, the price strategy for this bracelet model (and its success) depends on the size of production. I don’t expect pushbacks for the rubber strap model, but the bracelet should be as elusive as the 321 ED White Revival Speedy, for example. This kind of production scale at a set price makes sense and curbs demand so that it doesn’t overexceed production.
Ultimately, the important exciting thing here is that we have the first full bronze gold omega, and although bronze gold is technically 9K, other things like palladium and silver Most are valuable because it is mixed with noble materials. Nods to the burgundy and gold combo from the Fanfarr Bright Speedmaster Apollo 110th Anniversary model (and astronaut-only brothers), bringing the emotion back to the equation. . The price of the strap version is where everyone expects it, and within the context of the Omega catalogue the bracelet model is not so wild, making sense within the brand’s current layering. That being said, it is possible that buyers are unhappy as buyers are unable to jump beyond the rubber strap option.
