Jamie Weiss Swatch and Omega tracked the February 1965 Moonswatch with the Neon Pink Moonphase Moonswatch. Celebrating Pink Moon’s annual appearance is functionally the same as the 2024 Super Blue Moon Phase, but boasts details of Chrono Pusher’s love. Like previous limited Moonswatches, it is currently only available in certain locations on TBC.
Usually, if you know that the watch is released on April 1st, it will be dismissed as an April Fool’s Day joke. That’s when Swatch teased yet another Moonswatch look on Instagram earlier this week, thinking they might be pulling us over. But no, while the mission for the Pink Moon Phase is legal, I am amazed that it is being released on April Fools’ Day, as the design evokes Valentine’s Day much more. Do you think love is like all year round?
In fact, Swatch explains that this Moonswatch is intended to mark the annual look of Pink Moon. This is what is called the full moon in April. Incidentally, the pink moon is not actually pink unless there is light pollution or haze (it can turn orange due to the large Rayleigh scattering, as the moon is close to the horizon). But that didn’t stop the swatch from actually leaning against the theme.
Anyway: The Swatch X Omega Bioceramic Moonswatch mission to Pink MoonPhase was actually teased by Nick Hayek Jr., CEO of Swatch Group, to call it by its full name. It is patterned after the 2024 Super Blue Moon Phase, replacing the blue case for that model, and in favor of a pink bio-ceramic case, pink opaline dial, pink moon display and pink tip hand. Like the Super Blue Moon Phase, but unlike the original Omega Speedmaster, the mission to the pink moon face features a pulse meter bezel rather than a tachimeter. Unlike other Moonswatches and Speedmasters, however, the mission to the pink moonface has a bit of embossed graphics on the 2 o’clock pusher. This is a perfect nod for pulse meter scales and is completely thematic with the neon pink look of this watch.

The Moonswatch mission to Pink Moon Face is available at selected swatch locations from April 1, 2025. These are currently TBC, but perhaps the same locations where the previous limited Moonswatch is on sale, such as the mission to the Moonshine Gold model. We all need to know the drill by now.
