Borna Bošnjak Hermetic of the Baltic Sea tells a summer story with four vibrant shades. Keeping the 37mm case diameter and 150m water resistance, these are ideal beach companions. Available in color match FKM rubber straps or classic baltotic bracelets, Hermetique summer starts at $1,050.
Over the past few weeks, there have been an increasing number of brands introducing summer-ready watches, from Norqain’s quirky ice cream chrono to Tudor’s incredible BB54 Lagoon Blue. As Balto bats for budgeting ways, he also joined The Fun, introducing four bright new colors for the excellent all-around The Hermétique. The Baltotic Hermetique Summer Collection, with matching FKM rubber straps, consists of brightly colored dial centers with contrasting black miniature rehears. Match these to gelato, board shorts, or ideally both.
One of my favorites about Hermétique is how well-balanced the dial is. The proportions are just right, and the bright colors thankfully do not affect it. In fact, Balticu may only paint the entire dial in bright yellow, so I’m pleased that their Balticu has continued to use the black background of Minute Track to do both ways. Available colors are available in yellow, pink, turquoise and orange. One is as bright and flashy as the next, but the one that draws me the most is yellow.
With a 37mm case diameter, 10.8mm thick and 46mm lugs, the Hermetic, which is not particularly well decorated, always has excellent performance on the writing. With a thin, elongated rug and a visible dome-shaped crystal, I would say it cannot be seen on any wrist.
The push-pull crown is embedded in the case, but it may be a bit difficult to hold it in your hand if you just cut your nails, but I love the appearance so I can’t complain. Also, how good Hermetique is all-around is its 150m water resistant and drilled lug, both adding a tooltastic edge.
Helping with the overall thickness, the Hermetique summer is equipped with the Miyota 9039 automatic movement. This is a proven performer who has been carried over almost entirely from the Seiko NH35 at the edge of the more affordable spectrum. In addition to its slimness, features such as a 4Hz beat rate and a 42-hour power reserve are set as standard in this price range.
Finally, like all Baltic models, you’re dealing with some of the best strap monsters out there. Hermetique Summer Headline with Dial-Matching FKM Rubber Straps – You can beautifully tie the entire package, but you can also choose your watch using a beaded lith or a flat link steel bracelet. Also, if you already have another Baltic Sea with one of these bracelets, you can easily swap between models as all the brand offers are made to fit the standard bracelet design.
