Summer is coming soon (or you’re here for those who are already here!). Last Friday we published a list of five potential summer watches for 2025. Another great candidate on that list is the new Christopher Ward C60 Trident Leaf Series. In addition to the popular C60 Trident collection, we offer four colorful models. The fifth final model is a more traditional black model with a fun and colorful twist. I had the opportunity to practice the 41mm and 44mm Christopher Ward C60 Trident Leaf in two colors. Over the past decade and a half, the C60 Trident has become a hugely successful series of Christopher Ward’s dive watches. Its success can be attributed to clever design updates and impressive collection expansions. As a result, this series is very diverse. It ranges from hardcore diving watches such as the C60 Trident Pro to the C60 Trident Atoll series with stainless steel bezels and the impressive titanium C60 Trident Tolmière models with Globolight markers. And these are three examples. We also reviewed the colorful C60 Trident GMT 300 last September. The new Christopher Ward C60 Trident Leaf series immediately reminded me of that watch on the colorful presence of four out of five versions. But there’s more to the story than just color.
Christopher Word C60 Trident Leaf Series Stories
Let’s start from the beginning. Christopher Ward has completely redesigned the case of this new series of C60 Trident Divers. Furthermore, unlike the Pro series, the clock avoids the date window. Finally, they present a funky selection of colors that will help make the Leaf Series a fun and affordable option. Let’s start with the new four-part light catcher case, in sizes of 41mm and 44mm.
The 41mm version has a thickness of 11.45mm with 47.9mm lug-to-lug, while the larger 44mm case has the same 11.45mm profile as the 51.4mm lug-to-lug. All watches have a under-screw crown and are 200 meters resistant.
The newly designed case features a stainless steel core and a brushed lug with polished bevels. The protective shroud visible from the side is made of aluminum and runs in the colors of the dial and bezel.
C60 Trident Leaf 5 Dial Colours
Available colorways are Acro White, Helio Blue, Tuba Orange, Galaxia Black and Chalice Yellow, but the last model actually has a green dial. The Acro White version differs slightly from the other versions in that it uses sandblasted white ceramic shrouds rather than aluminum.
Christopher Ward combined the case with a 120-click bezel containing inserts that match the color of the dial. The bezel features brushed trapezoidal teeth with polished facets for additional visual glow.
The work of Franco-Croatian paper artist and designer Anna Breschev influenced the colours of the new C60 Trident Leaf series. Her vibrant coral-like works explore the themes of biodiversity and the fragile beauty of marine ecosystems.
Each of the five dials consists of a textured center combined with applied white chapter rings finished with matte lacquer. The applied Lume filled index and brand logo add even more depth and detail to the dial.
Every watch has the familiar Christopher Word handset, with contrasting moments hand for more funky details and distinctive Trident hand.
The new C60 Trident Leaf is in the complete package
Inside the case, Christopher Ward has his watch equipped with a Sellita SW200-1 caliber. This automatic movement runs at 28,800VPH and offers a 38-hour power reserve. The brand chose the Elaboré version of this movement and added a customized rotor with a twin flag pattern in the Colimaçoné finish. The Sellita SW200-1 offers ±20 seconds of accuracy per day and is displayed through the sapphire window in the screw-in caseback.
Finally, the rubber straps that match the color of your hand at the moment complete the look of the watch. These straps are equipped with quick release spring bars, making it easy to switch between, for example, the perfect fit for daytime swimming and informal outdoor dinners. However, if you like the appearance of the rubber straps, you don’t need to change them. The comfortable and flexible straps balance the wrist watch.

So how do you wear these watches? For reviews, I was able to compare both sizes, as I have both 41mm Chalice Yellow and 44mm Acro White. Straight from the gate, the 41mm model feels better proportional and appropriate thanks to its moderately thin profile.
Additionally, due to personal preference, you will be immediately drawn to the smaller of the two models. However, I hear from the brand that many watch buyers prefer larger diving watches. So both sizes have been added to the collection.
Both watches are worn very well. The curved rug makes them hug the wrists nicely. Of the two colorways I received, the Acro White model impressed me more. I like the turquoise details and the icy white tones that contrast with the straps.
It works very well. Again, I wore more Chalice yellow models due to their size and dimensions. As you can see, the model is named after the hand and strap at the yellow moment.
They contrast well with the emerald green colour on the dial with the matte aluminum bezel insert, but replace the straps with one of the other colours. The second option is to choose a branded oyster style budder bracelet. This is a great option as we know that the bracelet is the best you can get in the Trident Collection price range.
Final Thoughts on the New Christopher Word C60 Trident Leaf Series
Overall, I was seriously impressed with the new C60 Trident Leaf Series. As we know from Christopher Ward, the brand offers the best-made, detailed watches at affordable prices. This new series adds a series of clever models to your collection that makes watches completely affordable and fun. The case construction with colorful shrouds is fun to look at, and the level of detail on the dial is quite impressive. With this new series, the brand shows it is extremely difficult to beat the affordable watch category.
The new Christopher Ward C60 Trident Leaf is available for 895 euros with an Aquaflex rubber strap. If you prefer a Bader bracelet watch, it’s available for 1,095 euros. This saves 70 euros compared to the C60 Trident Pro model, but this is not very visible.
However, thanks to the new case design, bold colors and no date window, this series is different from the Pro series. What’s more, as Christopher Ward has shown many timesthese watches are difficult to beat in price range.
Yes, there are plenty of diving watches for less than 1,000 euros. However, due to the quality standards offered by the English brand, these five new C60 Trident Leaf models will not be beaten as part of the best option for summer 2025 monitoring. Once the season is over, I’ll reserve a few more straps.
