What I like more farther is that you instantly recognize their watch. Over time, the English brand developed a collection with a very clear style. The dial color, font type, and the colorful overall presence of the watch have earned many fans more strictly. The latest addition to the lineup is the new Integra series, consisting of four different models with their own names. Watches are part of the popular category of modern sports watches. It’s become a crowded space, but as you can imagine, these new Integra models quickly stand out as far away models. I had the opportunity to go practically with the more distant Integraviridis. It features a beautiful green malachite dial that immediately stands out. Find out if your first impression lasts.
I have to admit that I raised my eyebrows when I first got the press information that Farer was launching a sports watch with an integrated bracelet. This popular watch category has seen a huge influx of new models over the past few years. After the Tissot PRX set the standard for affordable integrated bracelet watches, more affordable brands jumped on the bandwagon, especially. The results are mixed with all fairness. So how will this new Integra series play against your peers?
The story of the more distant Integra series
Typical for being farther away is that the brand has unique names for all different models variations. But first let’s explain the names of the new collection. The word “integra” is a Latin word and is an adjective that means “whole” or “complete.” It is also the origin of the English word “integration” and is a suitable name for the series. This collection consists of four models with a 38.5mm stainless steel case, 10.3mm thick and 42mm long.
This is a modest sized case that flows nicely into the integrated bracelet, and it will tape beautifully from 24mm in the case to 16mm in the butterfly clasp. The brand chose a clasp with an on-the-fly micro-adjusting system to allow wearers to expand the bracelet by up to 3mm on each side with a simple pull.
Plus, the H-Link bracelet has screw pins, making it easy to size. Finally, the bracelet can be easily removed thanks to the quick release spring bar. Overall, the bracelet is the perfect modern bracelet for such a watch. It has all the features you want to make your everyday wearer comfortable.
Farer pays great attention to detail
I’ve come to know that it’s farther as a brand that pays attention to every little detail. The bracelet is the perfect proof of this. Regularly, you will see an integrated bracelet that is slightly tapered or non-tapered, resulting in a rather wider bracelet. I don’t call them chunky, but they have too much presence and are not as comfortable as they were. The distance fully understands this, and the dramatic tapers create miracles with wearability and refined presence.
Speaking of the existence of four watches, they are somewhat familiar when you look at the tonneau-shaped cases. The new collection has the same friendly presence as Farer’s Cushion Case series. Obviously, the actual case shape is different, but the square silhouette of the case and the recognizable dial design link the two series well. This reduces the feel of the new series and makes the brand’s overall collection natural progression.
Four dial variations that make up the farther Integra collection
But I’m back to the clock. As mentioned earlier, Farer introduced four different dial colors to Integra. They all feature a horizontal pattern of lines that mimic the horizontal lines of the individual links on the bracelet. This is a trick of clever design, creating track patterns that flow around the clock.
The first of the four models is Perlarum, featuring a white mother-of-pearl dial. Numbers and markers were applied that feature contrasting black rooms. The second model is the Tenebris, with a deep ink blue dial. The third is the Capuram, with a salmon pink dial. Finally, the Viridis I had for review features an impressive green dial cut from 1mm thick malachite.
These three models have a set of applied indexes and Arabic numbers filled with white rooms. All models have a 3 o’clock date window and a one minute track from Rehaut. Inside the applied index is a circle that holds the brand’s logo. Additionally, as seen on more distant models, the dial is split into parts. It’s another clever design trick to prevent the partition from emptying or undefined dials.
Sellita SW300-1 runs integrated
The style of numbers immediately tells you that it is a farther watch. The size of numbers is always substantial, as we are used to. With the Integra series, you can question whether they are too big. Usually, clocks in this category have fewer numbers and indexes. Again, it’s very branded. Plus, I like the different styles from the other players in this category. Overall, the overall style feels inspired by the 70s, but there is a modern relevance to prevent Integra from feeling like a retro watch.
Within the case, the farthest thing is equipped with the Sellita SW300-1 on the watch. The automatic aperture runs at 28,800Vph, has 25 gems and provides a 56-hour power reserve. Farer chose the top grade version of the caliber adjusted in five positions. The caliber is equipped with a custom-made full surcal rotor with cutouts and a steam-borne coating finish to match the color of the dial. For the malachite green dial, it’s a nice green rotor.
Wearing an integrated viridis farther
On the wrist there is a place where Viridos shines. At first glance, the design was brand-name, but in reality it wasn’t that way for me. I like the recent Lissom collection, as the farther style looks better for the series than this new Integra collection. But the initial looks can be deceived. The first thing that stands out on the wrist is its amazing proportions. The watches are worn as if they were an absolute charm. The modest 38.5mm size and overall slim profile make it suitable for a variety of wrist sizes. Plus, the nice taper on the bracelet and the clever finish on the case add plenty of improvement.
I’m not arguing about it, but small details are always a joy to explore with a more distant clock. In the case of Integra, the case is brushed, but it features polished chamfers. The bezel features a circular brushing on top of the polished sides. The bracelet has a mix of brushes and polished surfaces, creating an impressive overall presence. As always, the Integra screw down, crown features a bronze cap embossed with a farther “A.” These little details bring a smile to my face every time. I love to take even more distance to give the watch those little details that connect you to the brand’s DNA.
The Farer Integra collection is an addition to the brand’s collection
Sizing the watch is easy, but you will need a small flat head driver to remove the link. However, if you have any of them, it’s easy to increase the size of your bracelet. As the size increases, the bracelet will wrap nicely around the wrist. The relatively small links make the bracelet wonderfully flexible, and the substantial taper makes it even more comfortable. When combined with spot-on proportions, Integra is an absolute joy to wear.
It must be said that it is part of the secret source that attracts the crowds of fans. Of the various integrated bracelet sports watches, this farther Integra is at the top of the list in terms of wear resistance. Not many watches wear this comfortably. Also, if you want to change things, all Integra models come with an additional rubber strap that matches the dial color. I tried the watch for a few days. Meanwhile, I’ve become a little more used to dial designs. The numbers are big, but you can’t blame a designer who is farther away because they don’t create a perfectly balanced dial. All the elements are perfectly synchronized, making the eyes easier.
Final Thoughts on the New and More Distant Integra Viridis
But the true star of the show is its stunning green malachite dial. It gives the watch its extra visual charm to make it stand out from the crowd. I’ve never seen the other three models, but I think the white mother-of-pearl dial is just as great when you look at it. The salmon dial version comes in a copper tint, and it’s also noticeable, and the dark blue dial is a favorite of many watch enthusiasts, so I think it’s a solid lineup of models.
The four models come with different price tags. The blue tenebrie and salmon pink coupler model will be available for 1,695 euros, while the green malachite bilidis and white pearl perlaum model will be available for 1,825 euros. Place new, more distant Integra in price categories for Yemer’s watches, Christopher Ward 12, Nivada Grenchin F77, and Frederic Constant Highlife. The farther Integra is a great choice in its list of competitors. The more distant Integra watch is designed with excellent eyes in detail, and the build quality is solid and a joy to wear.
While the new Integra models are far from innovative, these additions to the farther lineup are the perfect option for those who love the style of the brand. After wearing the Biridis for a week, we can say that Farer has something to add to this popular category. The more distant Integra collection brings the brand closer to the home, but has created a completely fresh and new watch. It is a considerable achievement in today’s busy landscape and deserves a great compliment.
