When you mention the name Tusenö, most people immediately come up with the popular Shellback diver. The Swedish brand has released a small selection of models over the past few years, but Shellbach has made waves as one of the most affordable dive watches on the market. Now the young Gothenburg-based brand will surprise us with a new series of dress watches. The Supervintage collection is completely fresh and fresh from Tusenö that I didn’t expect. Three colorful dress watches with a very shaped case and a funky, eye-catching dial. It’s time to learn more about them with practical reviews.
The three new Tusenö directorial models stand out instantly. It also perfectly suits the rise in popularity of small dress watches. The Swedish brand may even say it is behind the game, earning a vintage-inspired dress piece. But it will ignore the fact that a good watch is always attracting attention. That being said, we’ve seen the amazing efforts of Echo/Neutra, Serica, Dennison, Toledano & Chan and others. Tusenö will add that view to Dress Watch with its new Supervintage series. The good thing is that these three watches don’t look like they are from competitors.
The story of the Tusenösupperintage collection
The Supervintage series combines hints from the Cartier Bay Glow Hour case with traditional watch and watch dial design. However, the running and gradient colors make these three models much more cumbersome than the average dress watch. I pay tribute to the guys at Tusenö for making the left turn on the dial as they quickly made me smile.

Before we get into the various dial variations, let’s start by talking about the basics. All three watches come with double curved stainless steel cases that remind you of the Cartier Bay Glow Hour. It is 34.5mm wide, 40.5mm from lug to lug, and 8.7mm thick. An elegant case is a joy to see, and it gives the watch a rich character. Tusenö matched with a beautiful double curved crystal that protects the funky dial.
To the right of the case is the crown with a diagonal ring that first deceived us. When you first look at it, you may think it’s a mistake. But in a second thought, you will soon realize that it fits perfectly with the whimsical nature of Super Intage. It is also easy to grip the crown and wrap the caliber. As you know, the leather straps are neatly connected under the bezel of the lugless case, so monitoring on your wrist integrates nicely. Overall, it is a beautifully carved case and a great canvas for a trio of colorful dials.
Dial variations inspired by three cocktails
Three famous cocktails influenced the dials on these watches. All three consist of a textured solid color center and an outer ring of gradients or sunbursts that holds tracks of hours and minutes. The first is the orange “Negroni” dial.
It features an orange skin-like texture and a bold red inner dial with a lighter orange small second subdial. The gradient ring, which holds the classic style of time and minute tracks, changes slowly between the two colors for a funky effect.
Next is the green dial “Mojito” model. This model has a matte pale lime center with a subsecond register of slightly dark green. The sunburst fishing outer ring flows naturally from bright green to dark green in the bright, and the colour is very nice and lively.
Finally, there is the “Espresso Martini” version. This has a foam-texted cream center and an outer ring with a dark brown gradient. All three dial appearances are defined not only by cocktail-inspired colors, but also by the font used for text and bright numbers. This gorgeous vintage-inspired font makes the watch stand out quickly and stands out from the competition on a whim. But don’t think of these super intage models simply as fun dress watches. They provide lots of style details that make them more.
Top grade ETA 7001 diameter
Looking back at the clock you get a stunning view of the fully decorated top-grade ETA 7001 caliber. The manual winding movement operates at 21,600VPH, has 17 gems and offers a 42-hour power reserve.
The diameter is neatly finished and features blue screws. The ETA/Peseux 7001 is a go-to move for quite a few small brands creating dress watches. It also runs the echo/neutral rebar that I own. The ultra-thin movement is only 2.5mm thick, allowing the brand to keep the watch case wonderfully slim. The same applies to Tusenö superintage.
Wearing Tusenö Supervintage
I had all three super intage models in the office, so I was able to test the water and find out which of the three I liked the best. My first preference was the espresso martini, the most conservative one, because I felt it was the most familiar. Honestly, the most familiar picks aren’t necessarily the best in terms of fun. After mixing, I immediately enjoyed wearing all three watches, depending on the clothes I was wearing. It plays a big role in choosing your favorite.
But before I tell you what my favorite is, I say that the watches wear like traditional dress watches in terms of size and dimensions. The biggest plus for me is that even your 18.5cm (7.3 inches) wrist is large enough to make a visual impact. In particular, the Negroni version has a lot of wrist presence that pops on the wrist. The Mojito version does that, but it has a completely different vibe.
Final Thoughts on the New Tusenö Supervintage Collection
That’s a great compliment I have to make to the people of Tuceno. Tusenö’s director watches are stylish enough to be taken seriously, but offer fun and hurt a big smile when worn. That is something we often forget in this overly serious hobby. In a world of watches where long spec sheets, extensive comparisons, and money’s value is dominated, you may forget pure and pure fun. But that’s exactly what these watches offer.
However, don’t be fooled. If you know Tusenö and have read the specs of Supervintage, you will understand that what the brand offers for $999 USD is the spot. Given the complexity of the double curved case and crystal and colorful multipart dial, this is an attractive price for the Twisseno super intage. Certainly, this design is a winning taste, but I totally enjoyed wearing all three super intage models for a few days. In the end, the Negroni version gave me the biggest smile and made it my favorite. Given that I entered the review as my most favorite with that model, it tells you something about the power of the new Tusenö superintage.
