I remember the first time I was drawn to learn more about the Venezianico watch. The brand Nereide GMT debuted in 2022 in several fascinating colourways. I remember being intrigued by the solid color version of the brand’s travel watch. Fast forward three years, I’m once again intrigued by the solid color version of one of the Venetian brand watches. This time, a special platinum dial is available on the modern integrated Breseret sports watch, honoring Arsenel in Venice, Europe’s first major industrial shipyard. Let’s dive in and see what it is.
When I first saw a photo of a Venice Nico Arsenel Platinum, I quickly wanted to learn more about the appearance of the watch. We had previous Arsenale models for reviews and although I liked them quite a bit, one of the things that kept me from loving them was the dial. However, the brand did not disappoint with Arsenel’s special Aventrin dial version. The watch looks stunning and has joined the impressive met stone dial model in the Arsenel lineup. With the introduction of the Arsenale Platino, Venezianico adds yet another special dial to the collection. The watch itself links to the rich history of Venice, the brand’s home base, but the dials make the composition even more impressive.
The Platinum Story of Venezia Nico Arsenel
If you’re not used to the Venezianico Arsenel, this is a modern sports watch from the Italian brand with an integrated bracelet. The range of models acquired its name from Arsenel in Venice, Europe’s first major industrial shipyard, and the crenellation of its historic tower influenced the Connor pattern of the clock bezel.
With a special dial, the brand balances Arsenel more refined than ever. Of course, this watch also visually resembles the Palmigianitonda PF with a sophisticated Naar bezel. However, I adore Tonda PF, so in the best possible way, references to its design are good in my book, whether intentional or not.
The Arsenale Platino features a 40mm x 44mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 9.95mm. It’s slightly thicker than the 8.95mm profile of the model Mike reviewed late last year. The main reason is to add a hand of seconds. However, with the sub-10mm profile, it’s still a slim watch.
Let’s talk about this latest version of the special dial. The brass-based dial first gets the finish of the soleil and then performs a tumbling process to create the texture. After that, you will receive a Platinum Galvanic treatment, resulting in a lovely silver tone dial with a wavy surface. Because of the process, each dial differs from the next dial, adding a personal touch to the watch.
It’s completely minimal
The unique dial only features a set of indexes applied to the top half of the dial and a cross logo of the brand. The ring surrounding the dial holds the Minute Track and brand name at 6 o’clock. Finishing the look is time and minute hands and thin seconds hands filled with sharp rooms. I love quiet branding as the dial remains almost untouched. In particular, special dials such as met stones, aventrins, etc., will allow the wearer to enjoy the most. This special Arsenal Platinos dial gives the watch a monochromatic look, but the different textures and finishes of the dial and case give the watch a large visual presence.
New Movement for Arsenel Platinos
This case matches the brand’s integrated canoba bracelet. The design is not innovative, but it also complements the lines of events flowing. The bracelet features a push button butterfly clasp, ensuring a lovely and stylish look. Turn the clock and you will see the Swiss-made automatic caliber V3250 based on the Soprod M100. The movement operates at 28,800VPH and offers a 42-hour power reserve. Additionally, the calibers are assembled and regulated by masterwatch maker Daniel Zolzette at Sandon DiPiabe Atelier with an accuracy of -4/+6 seconds per day. The new movement is a step up compared to the Miyota 9029 used in other Arsenel models.
Venezia Nico Arsenel’s Final Thoughts on Platinos
I really love this special edition of Venezianico Arsenel. The special platinum dial gives the watch a monochromatic look, but it brings plenty of styles. Add that to Arsenel’s elegant aesthetic and a smart finish to a variety of elements. After seeing the images, I would like to know more with practical reviews. Include Arsenale Avventurina for comparison. That way, it will be a great, hands-on experience.
Overall, I was impressed with the special dial and the more accurate Swiss-made caliber choice. The latter, in particular, brings Arsenel quality to new heights. Naturally, the price is slightly higher as a result of improvements and special dialing. The Venice Nico Arsenale Platino will be available for 1,200 euros with a special pre-order price that will begin on July 25th.
After the advance reservation period, the regular price will be 1,450 euros. The price of the Platinum version of Arsenel may be higher than the price of previous models. Still, it seems like a great watch when you think about what you get for the money. As mentioned before, I would like to experience it with practical reviews, but for now it appears that Venezianico has released another winner.
What do you think of the new Arsenel Platinos? As always, we encourage you to share your thoughts in the comments.
