The Zach Black Maurice de Mauriac Rallymaster III is the third in a series of tennis-inspired watches produced in collaboration with Racquet Magazine. It features a green glass coat inspired dial, with an 18K rose gold accent for the first time. The Rallymaster III is a limited edition of 100 pieces. Open Andrew below.

In 2023, alongside the US open tennis tournament, Maurice de Mauriac and Racket Magazine launched the Rallymaster II. Last year ahead of the Wimbledon Championships, Maurice de Mauriac launched the Rallymaster III with a green herbivore-inspired dial in honor of Wimbledon. Now, in 2025, our founder Andrew got one…and it’s still as fresh as a crisp cut coat.
As Andrew mentions in his boxing review, Maurice de Mauriac is a particularly friendly brand for tennis. As we have hinted, this is the third in the Rallymaster series of tennis-inspired watches. Maurice de Mariak also has a partnership with former world No. 1 and 2-time major singles champion (and famous sneaker co-signer) Stan Smith. Many watchmakers have partnered with tennis tournaments and stars, but few have actually made watches that focus on tennis.
Many of the Rallymaster III continue with their previous framework, a remix of the previous victory formula. This is a smart move, given that the previous editions sold out almost immediately, according to the brand. We have another 100m water-resistant 39mm stainless steel case, but its under-screw crown has been promoted to 18K 3N gold with case contrast. The sporty, thin 12mm thickness and 47mm lug-to-lug length maintain the charm of its extremely wearable daily driver.
The most obvious point of differentiating the Rallymaster III is the glass coat-inspired dial, but is the same layout as its predecessor. Again, it was designed by Carlton Dewoody, who is based in Los Angeles, famous for his creative interior design. And in a more poetic sense, we still have a 70s vibe that reminds us of the Wes Anderson signature look. Also, the name “Rallymaster” and its cursive font is a bit cheeky. This reminds us of the name and logo of “-master” used by another watch manufacturer known for its chronographs.
The rosy shades of hands and indexes are the first, and I love how the cyclops-registered date windows are rendered on accent matching tanned green discs. Additionally, the 9 o’clock sub-second has been slightly tweaked, with brown, pink and tan sectors. These 22-second sectors were inspired by the previously held 22-second service time limit.
Like the previous edition, the Rallymaster III comes bundled with two straps. Maurice de Mauriac chose to equip the Tan Leather with it. You can then choose between an additional tanning stretch fabric strap and the same green material. All of these straps use a quick release system so you can quickly replace them. Under the caseback of the internal laser etch exhibit, there is again an automatic Randaron 24 movement with a 40-hour power reserve.
Some people may not love the 500 US dollar bump, but there are no bumps up to 2,400 US dollars, but for those looking for a smart, design daily wearer that attacks all the right specifications. The third edition of the Rallymaster offers interesting suggestions. Tennis fan.
