I’m always looking forward to new releases from Maen Watches. This is one of the new brands in the market and is currently running for money to established players. Unlike the early days of the “microbrand,” Maen watches do not cut corners. The idea isn’t just to horn shoes as much value as possible without a clear design language. The new Manhattan 37 illustrates this and looks like the winner of Get-go.
If you’ve never had a Maen Watch, you’re missing it. Swedish brands make incredible watches that feel expensive. Certainly, we have all heard of these kinds of praise, but Maen is great at creating a watch that is neatly designed with a great finish. Next is the bracelet. While making great watches that work well on straps is already a great start, Maen’s bracelets are embarrassed by products from many major brands. With the introduction of Ultra Sin today in Manhattan 37, all these qualities and more, bring new, smaller, thinner cases.

Maen Manhattan 37 Ultra Hin
Manhattan is ranked as one of the most popular lines of Maen watches. Currently there are three sizes, including 37mm, 40mm and 39mm ultrahin. All were successful, but the trend for smaller, thinner watches led to requests for new models with more compact dimensions. The new Manhattan 37 Ultra Sin answer calls big… Elm, Litler Way.

It is 37mm wide x 47.4mm long, and the latest arrival is 7.1mm thick. The 316L stainless steel watch is only mounted on an integrated three row bracelet with a hidden push button folding clasp. Above all, the bracelet uses screws instead of the scary pin-and-collar system for link removal. Like other Manhattan models, these pieces have a water resistance of 10 atm.
I entered the “Tuscan” dial in four colors
The Manhattan 37’s ultra-thin dial represents a shift from other Manhattan models. Previously, serial production pieces displayed vertical coat degeneve stripes. But they also had a middle second or avoided a few seconds completely. The new model features a hammer surface similar to the so-called “Tuscan” dial in the 90s. The photos show angle-dependent color variations, but Maen categorizes the options for Midnight Blue, Forest Green, Salmon and Ghost Gray.
Each has a refined and applied index with Super Luminova C1 X1 inserts. The hands are relatively styled and bright. Note the raised, printed minutes, and subsecond tracks. The intricate flat sapphire crystal is a shaped brush and polished bezel complement the look. Finally, a nicely proportional, well-conservatively signed octagonal crown is found.
ETA 7001Elaboré
Manual winding is always welcome. In this case, it is also important for design. This allows the Manhattan 37 Ultra Hin to reach the overall thickness of its purpose, with no vibration rotors. The ETA 7001 movement itself is not exotic, but Maen is given an extra distance by specifying the Elaboré version. It has a power reserve of approximately 42 hours and a frequency of 21,600VPH. It is also on display and decorated with Geneve stripes and blue screws. The caseback is decorated with brushes and explosion surfaces. It also includes model names and depth ratings.
Manhattan 37 Ultra Hin is reasonable and lovely
Maen offers Manhattan 37 Ultra-Thin for pre-orders for 1,079.20 euros (e.g. VAT). Given the level of finish and the quality of the bracelet, I think this is more than fair. I think it’s much more interesting than most of what’s offered by large high street brands. Certainly, this design is reminiscent of an integrated bracelet watch from the 70s, but is clear enough to guarantee consideration in its own right. I’m happy to wear one of these and it looks like a watch that will please my wrist all year round. Please tell us if you agree and what colors you choose!
