Panerai is not used to working with the Italian Navy. The two have been working together on watches, technical tools and other products for over a century. As watch enthusiasts, we’ve become accustomed to these collaborative projects featuring bold marina militurn typography on the dial. Today, the partnership has expanded and is dedicated to Aviazione Navare, or the air branch of the Italian Navy. Let’s take a quick look at a pair of new, serious-looking potential Marina Militurn models.
Watches like the Marina Militia of today’s new dive capacity could resonate with the collector. As this helpful article showsAdding these two words to the dial is usually reserved for the most desirable Panerai watch. Certainly, from the early days of Paneristi in the 90s, these were the watches that everyone wanted, but there were few things they couldn’t find. Today’s release is “FOMO,Neither is classified as a limited edition.
Two potential marina milliturn models for Aviazione Navale
Panerai dedicated its latest models to the Italian Navy’s aviation group. The group operates airplanes and helicopters as combat units within the branch. As you can see, the group uniforms stimulate the color scheme of the watch’s dial and straps.
Stainless Steel PAM01697 and Carbotech PAM01698
The latest submarine Marina Miriturn model comes in two flavors. The PAM01697 is made of stainless steel and includes a dark green ceramic unidirectional external rotating dive bezel. Both watches come with a green canvas strap and a large trapezoidal pin buckle. A second black elastic strap is included in the package. Like most branded watches, changing the straps is easy as there is a small push button on the back of the lug.
Panerai chose to use Carbotech for the second reference known as PAM01698. For new users of materials, Carbotech is a lightweight, carbon fiber-based material. The carbon fiber layer is blended peering under temperature and pressure (polyether ether ketone) to strengthen the matrix. As a result, a substrate is lighter than titanium, which boasts impact and corrosion resistance properties. It features a similar Carbotech external dive bezel. Both models feature commanding a 44mm x 53.5mm case. The thickness is 13.3mm, which is surprisingly reasonable. That’s not bad for a big watch with a rating of 300 meters deep.
Each model has a sturdy screw caseback. Panerai fans will notice the differences between these works compared to previous Marina Militurn references. The brand has regained its case for the first time with Aviazione Navale Logo. Also, please note that the logos are perfectly aligned and level.
Dark green gradient dial
Each submarine Marina Miriturn model has a matte finish dark green dial that gradually darkens black towards the edge. Second, the sub-second dial contains a printing motif similar to the track’s radar. Internally, the embossed anchor depicts the symbol of the Italian Navy. A typical, typical skeletonized submersible handset on a ride comes in matte black surround. Interestingly, Panerai chose to increase the index size of these watches. A 20% larger index increases the light coverage by 45%. The hands and indexes are made of grey Super Luminova X2.
P.900 Automatic
Finally, let’s put it into a movement. The familiar caliber p.900 automatic power powers the potential capacity Marina militia. This movement is 4.2mm thick, aiding the overall thickness of the watch. The frequency is 28,800 VPH and a power reserve of 72 hours. Naturally, the quickset date functions and hacking are part of the package.
Potential Capacity Marina Militia Pricing and Availability
The new diving marina miriturn watch is now available on certified dealers and official Panerai websites. Stainless Steel PAM01697 Carbotech PAM01698 is more expensive at but retailer for 12,100 euros €18,900. Like most special parts, the price reflects the special nature of these releases. Obviously, they’re not for everyone, but I think stubborn fans, collectors and those who love the language of the Marina militia will show interest. We hope you will share your thoughts on these latest releases.
