With today’s large crowds of options available, the farther clock always stands out. British brands create watches that distinguish themselves through playful yet clever designs. The elegant case shape, arrow-shaped brand logo, unique numerical style and colorful dials make the watch instantly recognised. The colours stand out especially for me. Farer uses colours very well. Designers not only choose colors that other brands often shy about, but also choose the perfect shade of those. With the new Farer Lissom collection, the brand again shows the magic of a well-designed watch, paired with a rich palette of colour. I had the opportunity to go practically with a more distant risom arbor with raspberry red and purple colours, a fantastic modern dress watch.
Observe and start things. As soon as you pass through the new Farer Lissom collection, its incredible variety stands out. Whether you prefer more conservative colors or love a more distinct presence for your modern dress watch, the brand has you covered. I say “dress watch,” and this is just a great everyday wearer. The Lissom series elegantly walks through fine lines between dress watches suitable for special occasions and stylish casual everyday pieces. This is a great achievement that comes directly from Farer’s distinctive design style.
New and more distant lissom collection
Find out more about the more distant Lissom series and get some idea of watches. The brand set out to redefine dress watches by creating designs that play with recognition of formal clothing and casual wear. All watches come in a 38mm diameter round stainless steel case, a 42.8mm lagtoo lug and only 7.95mm thick. This elegantly shaped case really influenced the name of this new series, as “lissom” actually means “slim” or “graceful.”
As for finishing, the watch’s face comes with a polished bezel and polished rug that reflects light well. If you switch views and look at the sides of the case, you can see that Farer has chosen a horizontal brushed finish on the sides.
Each side also features a thinly engraved keyline that highlights the slim overall profile and nice curvature of the lug. This curvature results in the watch hugging your wrist well. This case matches the Knurled crown, featuring a solid bronze cap with a more distant logo. This is a more distant element of the signature that highlights the creative side of the brand.
Five models from the Lissom series
The Lissom series consists of a handful of models named after famous botanists. These watches share similar designs with sharp, radially mounted figures, a 6 o’clock subsidiary second display, and a room-filled Dauphin-style handset.
Four of the five dials feature Solid Lumikast numbers, a material made from a mixture of Grade X2 Super Lumi Nova and ceramics. Additionally, the fifth model features a mobile phone filled with applied non-luminous numbers and grade X2 Super Luminova.
Let’s take a quick look at the various options. The first model is the arbor we had for reviews. This has a Raspberry-Red dial with a small second display in purple and a purple instant track. For an extra vibrant accent, the small second hand is in contrasting peach tones.
Balfour is the second model and comes with a white dial, a small second register in warm gray and a minute track. This watch has blue numbers without Lume. However, the blue hands are filled with white Super Luminova, allowing you to read the time in the darkness.
An extensive collection of colors
Third, there is a Forest model with a teal green dial and a Black Minute Track with peach-colored numbers. They match the pink small seconds registration with orange hands.
Fourth, there is the Lindley model. It features an impressive dark purple dial with powder blue subdials and minute tracks. It is a lovely soft pink second hand that contrasts the subdials.
The last farther lissom model is a monochromatic Solander. It features white hands and all black dials that contrast well with numbers. Add a nice twist and blend nicely while keeping the small second hand grey and easy to read.
All dials feature intricate details that make it fun to see close up. Great examples are the light granular texture of each dial, slightly submerged subdials, and a recessed outer minute track. These small details add improvements to the stylish dial.
Finally, the five faraway Lissom Watches come with suede straps that match the dial collar. The exception is the Teal Green Dial Forest, featuring a white dial bar fore with a blue strap that matches the numbers, and a sand-colored suede strap. However, all straps come with a quick release spring bar, making it easy to switch.
Manual Find La Joux-Perret D100
Viewed through the sapphire window in the display case back is a La Joux-Perret D100. This is an 18 Jewel Manual Find Caliber based on the famous Peseux 7001. It has a 3Hz frequency and provides a power reserve of 50 hours. As you can see, one of the bridges has been changed and features a custom furlay decoration. Thanks to the movement’s Lithe 2.5mm profile, the brand has kept the new Lissom series wonderfully slim.
Lissom arber farther on the wrist
As mentioned before, I had the opportunity to check out the new arbor models up close. I love that the brand sent me one of three colorful versions. Because it provides good ideas about how far apart the design concepts are. My first impression was that I created a lovely, slim case design that quickly stood out to me by far. The engraved keyline is a clever visual trick to highlight a slim profile. But that’s not a necessary trick. Because as soon as you turn on the watch you can feel how well it sits on your wrist.
It is due to the thin case, its perfect proportions, and a neatly carved rug. These elements make the more distant lissom models fit perfectly on wrists of various sizes. Despite the slight proportions of the watch, the presence of the wrist quickly stands out. Of course, the colorways on the Arbor model make this easier, but that’s not the only thing. The overall design is also very balanced and has a sympathetic presence. I love combining colors like never before and how it works really well. Plus there’s something for everyone in the Lissom series. Whether the more luxurious look of Arbor or the relatively traditional presence of Black Solander models, the more distant lissom collection offers something to suit any taste.
Final Thoughts on the More Distant Lissom Collection
Overall, I was very impressed with the new Farer Lissom series, especially the Arber version we received. This series reminds us of what Nomos is doing with the Club Campus Line and the colorful series of last year’s 31 Tangente 38 Datum models. However, I like the lissom collection a little better than the club’s campus. In particular, I love the contrasting subdials and feel the design is a little more refined without losing its colorful playfulness.
Overall, this new, distant Lissom collection is a great addition to your brand’s portfolio. Each model can be yours at an affordable price of 1,350 Euros / 1,295 US dollars / £1,150. As a result, I’m sure the series will find many fans. If you’re looking for a modern everyday wearer that can be used for special occasions, look no further. After wearing the farther Lissom Arber for a few days, this new series is already one of the most amazing surprises of 2025. Tell us what you’re thinking in the comments section below.
