Time+Tide Tribe was born to bring you more authentic, more colorful and opinionated behind-the-scenes content. Over the past few months, Andrew, Marcus, and Zach have certainly shared their opinions. Whether it’s the watch you most regret buying, the watch you’ll never forget wearing, or your favorite watch category. But today we’re leaning a little more into the behind-the-scenes elements, as each member of the trio looks back and shares a fun story from one of the many press trips they took during their Time+Tide days.
In full disclosure, Marcus won Best Story by a wide margin. Not because Zach and Andrew don’t have a story to tell, but Marcus’ story about a trip in a TAG Heuer involving Andrew is just a bomb (pun intended?). I’ll leave it as is. No spoilers here.
Zac, who has attended Hamilton’s biannual Behind the Camera Awards twice (and will soon be making his third time), recalls a red carpet encounter he’ll never forget. Behind the Camera Awards shines a spotlight on those who work on film behind the camera. Awards ceremonies like the Oscars are primarily about actors, with only the more prominent roles behind the camera getting noticed. But the Hamilton awards ceremony is completely dedicated to the people behind the camera. But some of the biggest actors in front of the cameras will be there to present the night’s awards, including Javier Bardem, Kristen Stewart, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Viola Davis, to name a few. But the actor in question in Zack’s story is Jason Isaacs. He is perhaps best known for his work as Lucius Malfoy, Draco’s father, in the Harry Potter film series. Andrew’s story, or rather the story, is, to be fair, not very humorous. He didn’t get the memo. Instead, he takes an honest look at the tough job that globe-trotting watch journalists have…and recalls some fun and entertaining facts from one of his most popular videos.
