Watch Modding is a topic that is close to the hearts of many watch enthusiasts. It can also go from a bit of fun to a very controversial moment in the blink of an eye. Today’s episode of Fratello Talks involves Nacho, RJ and Thomas diving into the topic, sharing their experiences with Modding Watches, and highlights Some notable examples of both entry-level and high-end work. They also consider the brand’s perspective on changing watches and the potential dangers behind changing watches to be more valuable than truly worth it. So whether you’re a mod master or just interested in trying it out, adjust to learn more. But before you get into it, let’s see what’s on your wrist.
Wrist check
We start with RJ wearing an omega diver with a bright orange strap. No, it’s not his Plopro. It’s the new Seamaster 300m. He’s been wearing it non-stop for the past few days and I’ve come to love it. This appears to be not love at first glance, but rather he has come to enjoy it a little while. Ultimately, this makes sense. This is a clear case of less, as despite the orange accents, there is a matte black dial and no date.
Thomas doesn’t imagine a VPC type 37HW. At this point, it appears that the only thing that brings diversity to his wrist game is his upcoming diver release. But for now, he’s stuck with guns.
Finally, Nacho wears his trusty Tudor Pelagos FXD. After a short break, I head back to my wrist and ready for summer with khaki green NATO straps. This can easily become a daily watch, so creating a little variety in what lands on your wrist becomes a conscious effort. However, there are times when you need to play hits, and for Nacho FXD does just that.
Fratello Talks: View Modding
Looking at the watch, you look at it and say, “I like this watch, but I hope it had another second hand,” or, “Wow, this is a cool diver, what if there was a 12-hour bezel?” Well, it seems you’re already embracing the mod mentality. Not all collectors and enthusiasts go this path, but it is certainly something that many people explore. And recently it has gained mainstream popularity from a niche-sided hobby. This is thanks to something like a clock Seconde/Seconde, Ifl Watches, and (best end) Spectrum)
Today, at Fratello Talks, we’re sinking our teeth into the topic of clock modifications, so if you’ve ever wanted to know more about the topic, make sure to tune it. Please also ask us what you think about the topic. And, as always, adjust a new episode of Fratello Talks next week!
