This week’s episode of Fratello Talks will feature public services announcements. This topic has come close to our minds and has appeared several times recently on Fratello HQ. So today, Nacho, Rex and Thomas gather around the microphone and hash their thoughts on the issue. Ultimately, that is something we can recommend to you: don’t limit your gratitude. Ownership is a small (and somewhat overrated) part of the equation. We believe that from afar and by their merits alone, you can admire and enjoy a watch (or other attractive objects). You can arbitrarily trust something based on one factor, but ultimately remove the fun. That said, the watches featured in today’s wrist check are as close as possible to us. Let’s see what the guys are wearing this week.
Wrist check
Lex’s wrist today is also known as the Omega Speedmaster 3594.50.00 (Broad Arrow). This steel bezel speedy is the chronograph of Rex’s choice, and can you blame him? He is Joseph – She wears it on a sage green tapered perforated elastic strap, not made by Bonnie, but rather by Celica.
Thomas is shaking an incredible light (and mercilessly purple). As the name suggests, this watch weighs 11 grams of feathers. Its asymmetric curved caseback serves as the base plate for the movement, giving it a rather unique look. Do you have time? It’s not that you don’t have enough savings. But we can certainly admire it technically and aesthetically. It’s one impressive watch.
Finally, Nacho wears his latest watch. The only thing I arrived yesterday was the 1973 Seiko Road Matic 5606-7191. This charming 37mm watch is the perfect example of the kind of treasure you can still find at a reasonable price. It shows you can really get a lot of fun from a watch that doesn’t retreat over a few hundred euros.
Fratello Talks: Don’t let money stop you from enjoying the watch
The title says almost everything. I often find people dismiss the watch in comments by quoting the price. And while that’s certainly something to consider when looking at a watch, that shouldn’t be the only factor to keep in mind. Obsessed with price or other factors in its own right (i.e. size, water resistance, etc.) puts a serious damper in the fun of this shared charm. So, what can you do instead? You can accept that you can enjoy some things from a safe distance. And while some may have what they said, it’s still okay to admire it as an observer. There are far more nuances to this topic, but if you want to hear our views, you need to tune it!

So, we want to hear yours, as you listen to our thoughts. Do you agree with the points raised, or do you derail? Please let us know in the comments. And, as always, adjust a new episode of Fratello Talks next week.
