Today we are discussing Audemars Piguet at Fratello Talks. The brand celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2025 and is chasing things off by introducing new model choices earlier this week. Rex is in Rubroussos, reporting on the novelty, and Nacho and RJ joined him for this week’s discussion. They start by watching such novelties, sharing their thoughts on the brand’s current direction, and enveloping things by sharing whether they feel the influence of recently appointed CEO Ilaria Resta. But before diving into it, let’s see what the guys wear on their wrists.
Wrist check
We start with RJ wearing the new Omega Seamaster Diver 300m in bronze gold. Mocked for Daniel Craig’s wrist a few months ago, Omega officially introduced the Burgundy Bezel Dive Watch last week. If you want to read all about it, you can check out Jorg’s introductory article for now. Hopefully there will be a practical review of RJ coming soon!
Rex still feels the angular, sporty charm of his Grand Seiko SBGX341. This reliable, co-magnetic quartz watch has been a real go-to for Rex since the day he first saw it. It remains a favorite and now after getting a tactical refresh from the Grand Seiko Service Center, it is back and ready for action,
Inspired by Hollywood legend and aerospace wearer Harrison Ford, Nacho chose to wear this version of the multifunctional titanium breitling watch. He is an F65362, but that Gold Rider Tab has been replaced by a steel tab at some point in its unknown past. It’s a habit of making it feel like a Nacho watch, if any.
Fratello Talks: 2025 Audemars Piguet
Audemars Piguet has won an important milestone this year to mark the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the Le Brassus brand. Earlier this week we tasted what the AP had for us. You can read all of the newly released models in the Lex article here. These include a new movement in the perpetual calendar and a redesign of the dial, a new successor to the “Beast” off the coast of Royal Oak, and some new faces from the Code 11.59 family. It is also worth mentioning that a permanent calendar will become available in cursive logos, but only during the anniversary. We won’t give up any more, so we need to tune in to hear how people feel about these latest releases.
As always, leave your thoughts on these latest APs in the comments section below. Enjoy a new episode of Fratello Talks next week!
