Hello and welcome to Fratello Talks! Today we are talking about the Geneva Watch Days 2024. Nacho, RJ and Lex, who have all spent some time in the Swiss capital, come together to share their experiences. We will start by talking a little about how this year’s show is different from the previous three editions, and then we will finish by sharing some highlights. They had a very busy three days with a lot to plan and hundreds of new watches from just as many brands. So in this episode we will only cover some of the watches that really stayed with them. But before that, let’s take a look at the watches that are literally glued to their wrists today.
Wrist Check
Let’s start with RJ. After wearing his yellow gold Breguet Tradition for a week, he was ready to get back to a Speedmaster. And it’s no ordinary Speedmaster on his wrist. Today, he’s wearing the latest Omega Speedmaster caliber 321. He calls the watch “Gene Cernan,” after the NASA astronaut who wore a 321-powered Speedmaster during the Apollo 17 mission. Importantly, Omega created this special edition based on scans of Cernan’s watch, which is on display at the brand’s museum in Biel.
After being away for over a week, Rex is happy to be back at Fratello HQ. However, he can’t help but wonder about the watch he had with him during his time in Switzerland. As you’ve probably seen, it’s a late ’90s Omega Speedmaster Broad Arrow (ref. 3594.50.00). It’s a handsome Speedmaster with a distinctive look thanks to its steel bezel, applied logo, and large Broad Arrow hands. Rex has decided to wear it on a sage green “Celica Sport” rubber strap.
Finally, Nacho is also wearing the watch he brought with him to Geneva, the Tudor Pelagos FXD, the black version but combined with an NDC Single Pass strap made from real parachute rubber used by the French Navy.

This year’s Geneva Watch Days was set in a pleasant atmosphere by the sun and 32°C temperatures on Lake Geneva.
