Welcome to another episode of Fratello On Air! We’re a little later than usual this week as we decided to record this episode in person in London. We’ll cover a few topics, but we’ll end with a quick holiday gift guide. Watch content begins in approximately 20 minutes.
It’s the season for holiday gift guides, but it’s also the season for the last Time4APint of the year in London. Balazs left for Big Smoke and we decided to record at his hotel. We exchanged some presents before the episode, prepared for the evening’s festivities, and gave suggestions for holiday gift guides.
hand gear control
This week’s Handgelenkskontrolle is complicated as it mentions the watches on our wrists and some watches we brought to evening gatherings. Balazs has announced the new Nivada Grenchen F77 Collection Ceramic. This is a great watch starting from just 1,370 euros with a full ceramic case and bracelet. Mike wears the Ming 37.02 Minimalist with an olive Jean Rousseau Barenia leather strap. In response to a previous request, we’ve added photos of all the watches featured in the episode. From left to right: 50’s Tissot, Omega 27 Cro, Lemania 27 Cro, Breitling Chronomat 769, Angelus 250, Angelus Chronodart Luxe, Gruen Ocean Chief.
holiday gift guide
Each holiday gift guide mentions three different items. Some are watch-related, while others are perfect for everyday life or travel. I would like to mention the following points:
About Cloudmonster Running Shoes — Balazs is so confident in these shoes that Mike needs to try them too. Fratello x Bergeon Mini Tools — We both own these and they make great stocking stuffers Star 69 Straps by Joseph Bonnie — These look like rubber Tropic straps but are made of leather Delugs and Handdn — there’s nothing like a tailored strap to pair with your favorite watch. The book “Chronographs for Collectors” — we reviewed this in 2016, and it’s a great gift. Lastly, the RIMOWA Pilot Case – an expensive splurge, but a great item for traveling and storing your camera equipment.
Thank you for your attention. We’ll be back with new episodes next week! If you have ideas for topics for future shows, please let us know!
