A while back we published a written hands-on review of this rose gold Breguet Type XX, but we also created a video summary of the review. Click on the thumbnail above to start the video.
Breguet Type XX (rose gold)
Breguet’s current models, the XX and Type 20, made their debut in Paris in 2023 to much fanfare. On the other hand, the rose gold version we got here for review was a quieter introduction. Still, the new Type XX Chronograph 2067 in rose gold is certainly not a “silent” watch. Indeed, it’s an attention-grabbing watch. Blue and rose gold go well together and look even better when paired with a NATO strap (with gold hardware).

This is not a reprint. it’s a compliment
This watch pays homage to the original gold Breguet Type XX Ref. 1780, can be seen at the Brando Museum in Paris. It’s not an homage or a re-edit, but a modern interpretation of Type XX. Now, I don’t listen to the comments about the date aperture and printing (it’s very small, but it almost appears like an extra line). However, I do wear glasses. Believe it or not, I could do without the date aperture, but after wearing this rose gold beast for a while, I no longer notice it. The former CEO said that these new Type XXs are the start of a new collection, so I think we’ll see other (smaller) versions of this watch in the future.
Further in the future
With Gregory Kisling appointed as Breguet’s CEO, I’m sure we’ll see a slightly different direction in the design of the new models. First of all, I wish Breguet would use yellow gold on their watches again. Perhaps it would be nice to bring the Classique collection back to a smaller diameter. As always when it comes to the Breguet Type XX and Type 20 watches, I found that I had to try them on before making my final judgement. I thought this rose gold Type XX looked very convincing on the wrist. I no longer want to return the watch. Unfortunately, my wallet had other plans. Still, this experience made me want to try the stainless steel version again.
