Hello. Welcome to the latest episode of Fratello Talks! Today, Nacho, RJ, and Thomas discuss some of the best watch bracelets, considering all the elements that go into a bracelet, from the end links to the clasp. There’s nothing worse than a bracelet that feels cheap or like an afterthought. The way it secures to your wrist is a really important part of a good watch. And the bracelet feels like an integral part of the entire watch, as opposed to the strap, which is ultimately a “disposable” product. In this episode, we’ll show you some great examples of bracelets from Rolex, Tudor, Omega, and more. Thomas lends us some of the insight he’s gained from recently working on the design and production of watches for his brand VPC. We cover all the stops, from end link shapes and integrations to clasp sizes, micro-adjustments, and sizing systems. But before that, it’s time to check your wrists.

Today we start with RJ, who is of course wearing an Omega Speedmaster Caliber 321 “Ed White” on an OEM bracelet. Although he sometimes mixes things up, RJ is adamant that the best way to wear a Speedmaster is on a steel bracelet (or in the case of his Apollo 11, a gold bracelet). And while it’s an incredibly versatile watch, his Speedy 321 is rarely separated from its beautiful flat-link bracelet.
Not surprisingly, Thomas still bats for his home team with a VPC Type 37HW on his wrist. Unlike previous appearances, he wears a variation of forest green. This watch comes with a bracelet that Thomas worked hard to make, so it’s a relevant choice for this episode. You’ll hear more about that throughout the episode.
Finally, Nacho has an Omega Seamaster 300M ref. 2254.50.00 on his wrist. Of the three Fratello team members on today’s show, Nacho is the least interested in bracelets. Although he acknowledges their appeal, his experience with neo-vintage (mostly Breitling and Omega) bracelets hasn’t exactly given him an affinity for them. So you’ll probably see him wearing a watch with a NATO, rubber, or leather strap.
Fratello says: The best watch bracelets
Today’s topic is here by popular demand, as our listeners (and viewers) requested it in the comments. As the title suggests, this time we will be talking about watch bracelets. Of course, we’ll also discuss what factors make them great, so-so, or gruesomely abominable. We’ll take a look at all the different features needed to create a great bracelet, and of course list some examples. Listen to this episode in its entirety.

Here we will send you a question. Are you a fan of watch bracelets? If so, what do you think makes them great? Similarly, what are some deal-breakers? Share your thoughts in the comments section below. We’d love to hear from you! Tune in next week for a new episode of Fratello Talks.
