I can assume that most of you know who Ehling Haaland is. If not – here’s a review. The Manchester City Football Club Vikings cast a long shadow on the Premier League as his towering 6’4” presence continues to dominate the goalscoring table despite Manchester’s slightly inactive performance this season. Thanks to his continued partnership with Breitling, he was given an unusual opportunity to sit down with one of the world’s best footballers and see how he spends his time.
His first watch memory appears to be destined to join the Breitling team, as his grandfather (also known as Erling Doug) wears a Navichmer. I could not say whether this had a subconscious influence on young Erling, but he admits that he is very interested in his watch. This is probably you will remain the only one, Erling Haaland and I have in common.
It is clear that he made the most of his relationship with the Swiss brand. When he broke Premier League season records with most goals he scored, he presented all his friends and family with brait rings with specially engraved casebacks.
He was also keen to point out the three tourbillons he owns and the special premier tour Billon he wore in the top parade of buses to celebrate Man City, which won the treble in 2023. It’s a rare feat, and only a handful of clubs manage it, this is the 10th time that has happened so far. So it is clear that Haaland will tie his watch to special occasions and help them mark his heart.
But all of this could have been put into the press release. I was more interested in how a man, just 24 years old, could achieve a lot with this Breitling sponsorship, as well as the football acclaim he managed to win before reaching a quarter century. I want to know how he organizes his time and what he does with the small downtime he has to have.
“Luxury is taking a break,” he admitted. This may sound familiar to many of us, but it’s about hearing someone covered in traditional luxury show that such phrases really matter to him. So, how does Haaland spend his luxurious downtime? For him, it’s more about who he is with than what he is doing.
“I like to spend time with friends. It’s important to spend time with the people who want you in life.” Even if they play video games or enjoy healthy snacks, the company seems to be more important than anything else. But given the high level of training he has to do, all the other traps who are one of the most famous footballers in the world will make this free time a real premium.
Haaland was keen to point out that it was very important to him that it was very important to him. “You have to plan ahead. You can’t think about past games or just what happened. You have to look forward to it.” The majority of this is using his favorite word, “goal.”
“I have to set goals for myself. That’s really important. I know that everyone has a target for my goal, but I can’t tell anyone exactly what (they are). And you have to do that in life. So Young Erling is clearly about the goals on and off the pitch.
Organizing and setting goals seems to be the most important part of Haarland’s strategy for success, and judging from what he has already achieved in such a short time, I think it works. All that remains now is to figure out how this Viking-like mindset can be applied to set this Viking-like mindset in life. The Breitling Tour Billon isn’t that bad either.
