Cartier’s path to perceptions of mainstream watchmaking is curious. It was a brand that was always respected by people who knew nothing about watches and those deep in their hobbies. Still, these casual watch fans almost ignored them as the “tank-making brand.” Over the past few years, that perspective has completely changed. This is one reason why Cartier is happy to try new and old forms. This year’s watches and amazing brand focus is its incredible show, legends are revived, improving the quality of life for classic everyday wearers, and many of the Auto Holloggery have also come across the good points of the Auto Joarylee.
Cartier Privé Tankà Guichets
Just as the fair ends, get a watch that is likely to be on the “best of” list of many people. The new Tankà Guichets joins Cartier’s exclusive Privé line with four references. Available in yellow, rose gold or platinum, the unlimited trio is very similar to the original 1928 Tank Gichetz, with a 12 o’clock crown and a display of jump times/drugs, but perhaps the fourth model with the most curious. Switch the direction of the numbers, head towards the right side of the clock, with a limited run of 200 unlikely to last.

Cartier Tank Louis Cartier Automatic
Tank Louis Cartier is the easiest and most elegant of all tank models. With slim, round brancards that outline the rectangular case shape, the latest Tank LC doesn’t look much different, except for the new Sunray Texture dial. The actual upgrade is hidden under the solid caseback in the form of the caliber 1899 MC, the most traditional and recognizable of all different tank models. It’s been a while since I saw the automatic movement of a tank LC like in 50 years, but I don’t have to worry about changing this formula too much. Find out more about the new Louis Cartier Automatic tank, 2mm wider, thicker and 5mm taller than the existing “large” manual winder.

Cartier Pantère des Cartier
Panthere has recently enjoyed a revived interest, but mostly in less elaborate variations: steel or “just” yellow gold. However, we were treated to a small selection and optional lacquered Pantheir model from W&W 2025, as we know it’s a timeless brand and almost everything that comes out is filled with OOHS and AAHS. I’m off track. It’s more than making up for it with Specselch’s gem crushing that brings it a unique warmth, and if it’s a bit too argued for you, you can go to one of the other three sizes where the gem setting will stop in the case.

Cartier Pantair Jewelry Watch
If Panthere des Cartier didn’t have big cats big for you, then Cartier will cover you with this wild Panthere bangle. Taking the shape of the reflex introduced last year, a small clock side bends around your wrist, making it a jumping panther that stretches your legs towards you. The former is available in yellow or white gold flavours that are restricted to diamond set bezels, but with a watch like this (?) you can all go outside too. And it is a beautiful diamond setting technique that disappears towards the hinge of the bangle as the panther gets emerald eyes and onyx spots. See, they’re spots – Cartier knows what the Panther looks like.

Cartier’s bunch
Last but not least, there is a cartier bunch, the first watch in the jewellery line featured in 2023. For the French “knitting” we can see where the inspiration came from this particular sculpture. There is also the option of diamond setting, and again there are a few variations, but here honestly, you have to go with the contrast of yellow gold and black. It perfectly expresses some aspects of shapedness, and is one of Cartier’s jewelry pieces, not impossible to casually pull.
