The Blemont brand has been tied to aviation since its inception. In fact, the very name of the brand comes from a farmer who crashed while the founders were flying through France. So, after last year’s big brand, it’s great to see familiar things coming from Henley-on-Thames in 2025 with the new Altitude collection. These three new watches consist of the new look of Martin Baker, the brand’s most iconic watch. It is now called MB Meteor. Daily dated 39th model. A complex GMT chronograph containing two of the most used complications by the pilot. Let’s dive into this new collection and see what we have to offer.
Bremont Altitude MB Meteor
Let’s start with the new look icon, MB Meteor. Martin Baker knows that he won the name from the manufacturer of pilot ejector seats, which test these sturdy watches with live ejection. The new name for this watch comes from the plane that is still used to test the ejector seat today. But let’s start with what is perceived as a point of continuity from older models. The Triptic case is still here, with its recognizable naar bezel, but this time Connor is slightly softer. Made from Grade 2 Titanium and comes with a matching bracelet.
This bracelet is worth noting. As Bremont CEO Davide Cerrato explains, it is specially designed to be the opposite of the bracelet he and his team created for the new Terra Nova collection. Essentially, it reverse engineers the original design. This not only means it has great drapes and feel, but also means there is a visual continuity between this new collection and the pieces released last year. You can also get this watch with a leather or fabric NATO strap. Of course, maintain four crown systems that connect the four crown systems to the internal bezel and its satisfying rotor click system on top for winding and setting the time.
The case is between 42mm and boasts water resistance of 100 meters. The caseback features a sapphire window that allows views of the Rajou pellet-based automatic caliber with 60-hour power reserves and custom winding rotors that reflect the architecture of the wing, the brand’s headquarters.
There are two dialing options. Matte black or brushed silver. These come with applied stencil-like numbers that add a true militaristic feel to this watch. Both the numbers and the sword’s hands are filled with the latest generation of Super Luminova for its additional practicality. All of this is displayed through a well-executed sapphire box crystal, which is a lovely touch to this model, as it adds to the vintage feel that you already have.

Blemont altitude dated 39th
The following models are probably the best models for everyday use. 39 dates from the altitude collection take the MB meteor and distill into the purest form. There is still a triptic case with a black case band, but the rings replaced by a smooth, brushed surface are gone. The case and bracelet are made of 904L stainless steel. This is a metal height alloy that brands like Rolex like. The bracelet design remains the same, but the strap options are reduced to leather only, which I think is one of the rare watches that also work with both the bracelet and the strap.
Both matte black or brushed silver, the dial is clean and maintains the same number as MB, but we’re deprecating some of the dial text to keep things simple. There is also a classic pull look as a counterweight at the end of the hand to keep it connected to the ejector seat. Inside, there is also the same movement as MB.

Bremont Altitude Chronograph Gmt
This is the most complicated of the three models that stack the features of the chronograph and GMT. This movement is a Cerata base that offers a 56-hour power reserve and lays out the sub-dials in a 12-9-6 configuration. GMT’s hands are filled with a large red arrow above it, once again with its super bright room. What I like about this movement choice is that the watch can maintain the same diameter as a 42mm MB meteor, but can only get a thickness of 2.5mm.
The small design details that many people appreciate are the mileage hands that are shaped like a three-blade propeller. As with the 39th date, this model is made of 904L steel and comes with a bracelet, leather or fabric NATO strap option. This is certainly the most practical of all collections, and like other collections, there is a soft iron ring that helps to add protection to movement from a magnetic field.

verdict
There was a lot of talk about Bremont last year, but this year I have a lot of joy in seeing them come out in such a powerful and consistent collection. This is the Blemont we know and love, and the new Martin Baker feels like a high, refined version of its iconic watch. It’s as confusion as it came out last year with this very solid collection now feels like a step in the right direction for the brand and something they can build for them in this new era.
