Andrew O’Connor The Bremont Altitude MB Meteor Stealth Grey is a luxurious celebration while refined the brand’s partnership with Execration Seat maker Martin-Baker. A matte sandblast grade 2 titanium case with grey surface treatment and a dial that claps the hand of seconds that imagines seconds Pull tab for the discharge sheet.
It’s limited to 400 units and retails for $10,000.
The past few years have been rather monumental to Bremont, with the brand significantly refreshing in 2024 and a massive number of new models released in 2025 (Includes these very cool Terra Nova jump hour models). The UK-set brand shows no signs of slowing down by industry veteran Davide Cerrato.
Before updating, the Bremont MB (Martin-Baker) line may be considered an icon in the brand’s catalog. Martin Baker is the largest manufacturer of military aircraft emissions and produces 75% of the world’s aviation sheet technology. They are longtime collaborators with Bremont and produce MBIs for those who have the misfortune and fortune to live to tell the story of using Martin Baker’s seat.
Blemont’s tips for an overbuilt tool watch in the UK style, has produced many repeat customers and developed a cult following. Previously, it was covered with time + tideMBII is currently the Altitude MB Meteor as of April 2025, and the Mateor Name comes from the test plane and is used by Martin-Baker to test the ejection sheet. The Triptic Case design remains, but it is now made from Grade 2 titanium rather than stainless steel. But today’s Bremont release adds an interesting surface treatment to the mix.
Called the Bremont Altitude MB Meteor Stealth Gray, this is a limited edition 400-piece model that introduces a new take on the MB line. This model has no more polished surfaces and instead has a Grade 2 Titanium case and bracelet, coated with a light absorbing ultra matte grey treatment, removing the reflective surface from the case and bracelet. The barrel inside the Blemont Triptic case is also PVD coated black.
The 42mm case is a 49.3mm lug-to-lug thickness of 12.23mm, has a 22mm lug and weighs 53.29 grams (head only). Rated as water resistant to 100 meters, the titanium bracelet has a butterfly clasp and quick release spring bar to promote strap changes. Date and date adjustments are made using the crown at 2am, while the inner rotating bezel is adjusted via the crown at 4am. The inner bezel features Bremont’s LotoClick technology, ensuring accurate bezel settings and provides tactile feedback while rotating the crown, just like traditional bezels.
The dial features a met stone texture achieved by scanning a slice of an actual met stone and stamping that texture onto a brass plate. Next, the dial plate is electroplated to achieve the desired colour finish. Blemont focuses on this as a unique interpretation of natural materials, ensuring the stability and durability of the dial. The dial index is applied with Arabic numbers filled with blue ejection superluminova. The yellow second hand features a counterbalance reminiscent of the pull tab on the ejection sheet, and the date border recalls the “danger” labels on all ejection sheets.
Inside the case is the BB14-AH automatic caliber, based on the increasingly popular La Joux-Perret G100. It has 24 gems, runs at 4Hz, has a 68-hour power reserve and a custom decorated Bremont Rotor. This movement is shockingly protected through a flexible rubber mount that suspends movement within the case. Additionally, there is a soft iron inner shield that protects movement from magnetic fields. The open case back reveals a movement finished in gunmetal grey with Geneva stripes that complement the watch’s stealth look.
Close thoughts
The recent Blemont update has been the subject of marmite among the watch community. I think what they did with the MB Line is a positive step towards making Bremont a more mainstream brand. The reworked case appears to be more prone to wear as it is reduced by 1mm in diameter, and the lug aids visual and tactile size, making it appear to tapered and bend inward. Titanium makes the watch lighter and more comfortable, and emphasizes the aviation focus of the altitude MB meteor line.
The actual met stone dial is highly regarded for its price operated by Bremont, but it can also make the watch even more expensive. In fact, Bremont, focusing on toolwatch performance in this model, can be hampered by the Meteorite dial. This is because organic materials do not have the same durability as artificial materials. Overall, I think the Bremont Altitude MB Meteor Stealth is a very “Tacti-Cool” version of the model that appeals to aviation enthusiasts and real pilots alike. They managed to maintain the brand’s identity while expanding their audience.
