Jason Lee Delma releases an array of dial colors from the Ocean Master Collection to allow for optimal visibility in all conditions. The full Lumed dial first debuted in collaboration with Oliver Heer Ocean Racing, and is now available in four new colorways. The practical 44mm stainless steel case features a mixed finish and is water resistant to up to 500 meters.
Since Oceanmaster’s 2017 debut, born from a partnership between Delma and NY Vendée, the collection has assembled sailing tools and stories within a robust dive watch platform. The special edition ranges from Antarctica to the tide and Oliver Higher Race models, each using navigational instrumentation as a principle of organisation. The new Ocean Masterroom stays firmly within its short range, but shifts emphasis to visibility. The entire dial is bright, and is thought to make it easier to read the clock’s information architecture when there is a lack of light and conditions moving fast.
The concept is simple enough, but the implementation is concrete. Delma offers a completely bright dial in four tones: dark blue, dark green, dark orange and dark yellow, allowing owners to choose the palette without giving up on the core features. The dial still retains familiar tactical planners and point of sale references, presenting a sailing-centric layout that has defined Ocean Master since its launch. Date complications are included at 6 o’clock, keeping your daily wire unharmed. Nighttime readability is handled with a dual-room approach. The applied index uses Super Luminova BGW9, and the hour and minute hands get C3 and the red middle seconds get C3 chip.
Delma connects Lume’s ideas to real-world tests. The fully bright dial made his debut in collaboration with Oliver Hier Ocean Race during the 2024 Vendee Glove campaign, accompanied skipper Oliver Heel. Whatever is closer to offshore racing, the message is clear. The brand hopes that Ocean Master will first act as an instrument and follow the styling for that purpose.
The hardware is familiar to those who have dealt with the recent Ocean Master. The case is made of 316L stainless steel in cushioned form, 44 mm in diameter and 13.8 mm thick. The lug spacing is wide 24 mm, with a distance of 51 mm from the lug. Sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating is on top of the watch, and a clear caseback appears.
Functionally, Lume holds Ocean Master’s Navigation Tool Set on the outside and inside. The stainless steel unidirectional navigation bezel provides a major timing interface, and a screw-in crown with a prominent security guard ensures casework. Its water resistance is rated as an impressive 500m. The instrument’s forward dial pairing with depth ratings that adventure far beyond the cockpit is a sailing watch built on the diver’s chassis, part of the Ocean Master’s personality.
The watch is powered by an automatic Sellita SW200‑1. It bears at 4 Hz with 26 gems and offers a 41-hour power reserve. The bracelet also continues with the Ocean Master template. This is a stainless steel three-link design with brushed outer links and polished inner links secured with deployment clasp with pushers. Once delivered, the setup emphasizes the intent of the wrist tool watch.
Within the wider Ocean Master story, rooms read as logical extensions rather than radical pivots. Oceanmaster has always been a platform for Foreground Utility from Delma, first with planner and point of Sail graphics, then with an environment and race story. Rooms double the readability as a theme by turning the entire dial into a light source and then creating information hierarchies with different Super Luminova grades. It’s a simple shift with clear intentions and runs consistently across the four colorways.
