Tom Austin Breitling is partnering with superstar Manchester City striker Ehring Haaland to create a trio of meteorite-covered chronots. Two models have been released. It’s a Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 limited to 500 units, a Chronomat B01 42 limited to 250 units, and just 5 super-limited editions reserved for friends and family in Haaland. Each watch is finished with a unique met stone dial (the first Breitling), a bespoke caseback and signed notes from a Norwegian professional football player.
It is not uncommon for brands to associate with some of the most accomplished individuals in the world. Swiss brands have pioneered this marketing strategy from the start, not only choosing popular faces to play the latest and best sports, but also increasing their brand image by choosing not only the winners but also the champions and record breakers to the best individuals in their field. Several brands have followed suit, and now the top A-Lister is considered De Rigueur to have a watch partnership. What’s relatively rare, however, is actually working with these ambassadors to create watches. Still, Breitling tends to do things a little differently; Previous collaboration between Giannis Antetokounmpo and Victoria Beckham is currently partnering with Norwegian football superstar Erling Haaland By releasing a new collection of met stones, we will release a Chronot dial-shaped collection.
Make a watch with Terminator
Haaland is one of the game’s top goal scorers and is known for his speed, strength and devastating finish. The 24-year-old is called the “Terminator” for his steely performance and European attitude. I’m the first to admit that I’m not particularly involved in football, but seeing Haaland knows who he is shows that his impact on the sport is far beyond hardcore fans. The Manchester City striker has been Breitling Ambassador (and for years a well-known watch enthusiast, long before his Breitling contract), since 2022, and now Breitling aims to strengthen his relationship to his story through their watches.
The collection consists of a limited edition Chronot trio, only two of which are generally available. The first is the stainless steel chronomato automatic GMT 40 with a platinum bezel, while the second is the 18-carat red gold chronomato B01 42. The third and final pieces are one B01 42 in a special 18-carat red gold, featuring special sculptures of his name, palm figures and goal cell poses. This unusual model, like his friends and family, reserves himself exclusively for Erling. All three watches feature a unique Met stone dial that represents Haaland’s unique and world talent. Taken directly from the muonion lasta meteorites that landed in Haaland’s Scandinavian homeland, these are Breitling’s first watches to feature meteorites as material options.
Breitling Chronot Automatic GMT 40 Erling Haaland
The Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 features a 40mm stainless steel case surrounded by a polished platinum unidirectional rotating bezel. With a thickness of 11.77mm, it is comfortable to proportional, and the design of the Lou stainless steel bracelet gives it an almost integrated look. Like everyone else, the Chronomat GMT’s two dials are not the same, with the gray and silver Widmanstätten crystal structure giving each watch a custom touch. The dial is surrounded by a thin black GMT ring, in contrast to the 18k red gold second hand, featuring Haarland’s “Eh” initials.
Below the dial is the Breitling Caliber 32. This is a COSC certified automatic GMT movement based on the ETA 2893-2. Caller GMT caliber with independent adjustable GMT hands, modified by Breitling with a bespoke rotor, offering a 42-hour power reserve. After the watch is finished, supporting adorable 200 metre water resistance is a solid caseback with “Erling Haarland 9”, “One 500”, and ultimately a sculpture of the celebratory pose of the footballer’s signature goal.

Breitling Chronot B01 42 Erling Haaland
The next model in the collection is based on the Chronomat B01 42 Chronograph, a 42mm beast made from solids in 18K red gold. A genuine statement piece, this is the majority of gold, 15.1mm thick, and in the case of a chronograph, it is unusual and boasts a water resistance rating of 200 meters. Again, this model features a one-way rotating bezel using an inner tachymeter for the chronograph. The Panda-style dial is made of the same Muonionalusta met stone and contrasts with the black subdials, with EH initials with all Gold time markers and hands.
Among the watches, the brand has overcame the reliable Breitling Caliber B01, and the brand has developed an automatic column chronograph movement inside the company. It also has another COSC certified caliber, with a 6 o’clock date wheel and a considerable 70-hour power reserve. It also looks gorgeous through the Sapphire Exhibition Caseback. This also has the same display as GMT, but this time it is limited to 250. The B01 is available in a black rubber lou style strap or a heavy, generous golden lou bracelet.
Finally, there is a third model in the Erling Haaland collection. This is a little more exclusive than the other models. Again, the solid 18K red gold chronomat B01 chronograph features the same stunning met stone dial and solid gold bracelet. However, this boasts subtle details that stand out as a flagship. Since only five have been made, Haaland’s name and jersey number are engraved on the side of the case. The Sapphire display caseback features a celebration laser etched image of Haaland’s Lotus Position Goal. This is the movement used to project a sense of calm and mindfulness within the strength of scoring. However, it is only offered to steal himself with his friends, family and companions, so you are more likely to see one of his goals than this watch. Breitling didn’t even share images of it with us…
