I can’t believe it’s been a year since I last unveiled my favorite summer watch. Time flies when you’re having fun! I am one of the first to submit list articles often, but this year I am one of the last authors to submit summer watch picks. why? Well, that’s because I was on an early summer holiday to the French coast and enjoyed the sun, the ocean and delicious food. What kind of watch did you wear? Well, you can probably guess that’s the number of certain small redoes that I’ve probably tended to hug all my wrist time these days.
Still, in the summer, I am also attracted to other watches. I love good summer watches and some continue to seduce me. So, don’t struggle any more, dive into my summer watch pick!
My definition of summer watches
Well, actually… there’s a bit of ado to get through. There is no clear definition of summer watches, so you need to set boundaries. My preference in this respect has not changed since last year, so let me quote myself:
“First of all, I prefer something that can swim (certainly, I rarely do it). For me, this means water resistance above 100 meters.
Now the above actually applies to almost all my watches. To turn them into summer, I prefer a bit of colour. that’s it. I don’t think this is a very shocking definition of a proper summer watch. Still, your mileage may vary, so it’s good to have this context before checking my picks. ”
Summer Watch Picks2025: Doxa Sub 300 Carbon
My first Fratello Summer Watch Picks 2025 participants are easy. This is on my list. My first pick is definitely the Doxa Sub 300 Carbon. There is a yellow dial version, also known as Divingstar.
I like forged carbon watches for their brightness and clear aesthetics. Mixed flakes of resin carbon reflect light at different angles, making them very dynamic and sometimes almost three-dimensional effects. The Doxa Sub 300 carbon weighs very little. It will be very comfortable on your wrist.
I also chose the regular sub 300. Because I love the strangely flared case of small dials and dome crystals. But for me, the carbon version is something I get. It combines their distinctive 70s vibe with more modern style, making it a watch that you find extremely attractive. I have to part ways for 4,190 euros to make it mine.
Fratello Summer Watch Picks 2025: Zenith Defy Revival A3648
The second watch this summer comes from Zenith. It sticks to the powerful vibe of the late 60s and early 70s. In fact, dial the notch. The Zenith Defy Revival A3648 is a 37mm dive watch with a depth rating of just 600m.
This watch looks troubling in almost every respect, from a flat surface and awkward mashup with sharp angles to overly complex bezels, flashy dials and 15.5mm thick. This should not work. For some reason, that’s true! This strange little clock impresses the many characters and charms. I don’t think this is the only watch for anyone, but as a fun summer alternative, it shakes!
The interior checks the automatic Zenith Elite 670 caliber at 4Hz frequency, providing a fulfilling 50 hours of autonomy. The Zenith Defy Revival A3648 costs 8,000 euros, which cuts your summer budget very significantly. Well, I think we can be home anytime in 2026.
Fratero Summer Watch Pick 2025: Nomos Club Campus 38 Future Orange
Honestly, my summer watch pick would probably be all diving watches if I was spending real money. But I feel an obligation to add a little more variety. Contemplating the dressy summer watches, I always landed on the Nomos Club Campus, the same old candidate. My pick is the 38mm version of the future orange, but the Endless Blue is just as summery.
The Nomos Club Campus 38 is a rather simple watch, but shines with a sophisticated run. How does the sub-second hand winding move? What about just 8.5mm thick while maintaining the summer-compatible 10-bar resistance rating? Add that fun, bright orange dial to the mix and you’ll find a simple candidate for summer watches.
Place it on one of Nomos’ lovely silver grey nylon straps and never look back. Compared to my other picks, it would retreat 1,480 euros much more wallet-friendly to me. I think I’m going to stop now, as I’m steadily talking about myself to this.
