Tag Heuer Monaco Chronograph x Gulf Coast or Monaco Chronograph Stopwatch? Which of these two new limited edition watches would you like? I actually saw both well while using Tag Heuer for my 109th run on the Indy 500. Check out the latest video below now and let us know your answers in the comments.

The launch of the two editions coincided with the Indianapolis 500 Motorsport Event. The event is a massive moment where more than 350,000 people gather to drive 200 laps at 500 miles and see them travel over 200 miles per hour. But amid all the hot raps, the excitement of the lace, and wrist checks with special guests such as Sean Wortherspoon and Jeff Stein, the latter brought me some special Hoier pieces to take a closer look. You can get these two new Monaco chronographs Jist below, but be sure to watch the video above!

The new tag Heuer x Gulf Monaco Chronograph has a fine-grained silver dial surrounded by a 100-meter water-resistant sandblast grade 2 titanium case, which is expected to feature 39mm diameter, 15mm thickness, and 47.4mm lug-to-lag. Looking at this dial with blue and orange pinstripes, it really captivates the Gulf Coast colouring of McQueen’s Porsche 917K, as well as the lace suits from Le Mans movies. This is further driven by two bundled straps, a white textile strap with orange stitching, and a perforated blue leather strap with orange stitching.
Of the two, I personally find it more persuasive, as it is made in collaboration with Hinchman, a white race suit maker based in Indiana. Modernised in titanium and remixed with a grain silver gulf dial, the Tag Heuer X Gulf Monaco chronograph is faithful to the original Monaco design layout featuring the crown on the left, and utilizes the caliber 11 found in the original Monaco. The 40-hour automatic chronograph movement is not a record-breaking experience, but it nods to this limited edition of 971 (917k Porsche and the 1971 Monaco release year).

Next is the Tag Heuer Monaco Chronograph Stopwatch. It is also wrapped in sandblasted titanium, and shares the same case dimension, depth rating, left-hand crown and caliber 11 movement, but it differs from the Gulf Coast Limited Edition with stealth black DLC coating and panda-style dial. As the name suggests, the color scheme and dial layout are inspired by Heuer Stopwatches (particularly the references). The 11.402 Split Second Stopwatch is a split second stopwatch that was a key timing device and advanced technology of the late 60s, and is offered with case-matching black transparent Calfskin leather straps and folding grip clasps. This model is limited to 970 units and costs USD 9,850. This can be slightly higher due to the black DLC coating.
