British Norkan fans are pleased! Last night, challenger brand Norcaine revealed that he is a timing partner for the highly popular soccer aid event in Manchester, Old Trafford, but also announced a serious push to the UK.
It turns out that 80,000 fans will see the British side appearing on the world side, and many are disappointed to see the home team being cut to the ribbon by Argentine player Carlos Tevez’s extraordinary Panache, who has scored four of the world team’s five goals. But the biggest roar of the night was reserved for an angry Ginge. AngryGinge is the only popular YouTube star Louis Tomlinson. Both were surprisingly good players.
Brands like Norqain have found new angles in ultra-light sports watches with matching robustness, so the event represents a new angle of sports partnerships and cannot become a better selected sacred ground to launch a UK presence to a group of media and retailers. Of course, Time + Tide has been softly launching Norqain in the UK for the past six months, but things are on track for the future as the younger Swiss brand is trying to increase the UK’s annual doors.
The event was of personal importance to Tobias and Ben Kuffer. Both were enthusiastic soccer players, talking about the theme of the partnership and seeing the Norqain logo roaring the grass on the LED screen, it was visibly emotional on the football (soccer) pitch. Ben actually witnessed the night with his son Ryan, and his eyes were also widened as he was invited to the pitch for a pre-match interview with me and Gary Neville. The watch that was advertised was the bestseller, Turquoise Wild. This is a watch I own and I often have a hard time removing my wrists.
However, the watch that was talked about that day was the Norqain Freedom 60 Chrono 40mm “Funy Life” special edition, teased by Mark Wahlberg, who was called the ultimate summer watch in an Instagram post. Ben Küffer said that he had opened his eyes once again, and that something about the brand has captured Wahlberg’s loyalty, as this is a very unpaid place and it was the second time something about the brand has posted about Norqain.
My theory of his turquoise wild charm is that he is the perfect Pantone for his municipal turquoise colorway, as he appears to wear it to fit the turquoise municipal drip. Gary Neville is Norkane’s local business partner and he crashed my interview with Ben that you can see on social now. In reality, he is a very lively and dynamic character. He spoke about his mission to grow Norcaine. He sees it as a personal project that takes more time than trying to put strategy and business growth into practice as Norcaine’s UK Pointsman, along with a growing team that includes general managers and other key staff.
