Today we are looking at the Mouse Corbeau – Pan am Edition. The Stockholm-based brand creates crowd-pleasing watches at even more likable prices. Plus, there’s quartz movement within some pieces, which works well as a grab-and-go option.
I’ve read a lot of comments about Fratello about the escalating prices of the new watch. So it’s great to cover a reasonable new release from time to time. Rats are competing in this market, and from our perspective it has been successful. The Swedish brand assembles watches in Germany and uses Japanese movements. This is a great combination that resonates with buyers looking for affordable, high-quality options. Now you have the new Corbeau-Pan Am Edition, a cool new chronograph with one of the most famous logos on the dial.
Mouse Corbeau – Pan am Edition
Rats are not used to collaboration. The brand previously worked with Carmelker’s Ruf, but today’s Corbeau-Pan Am Edition left the street due to the sky. It’s hard to believe that Pan am last flew in 1991, but the logo remains one of the most famous in history. A retro product with a TV show of the same name and a blue emblem was helpful. Now there’s a new limited edition watch.
The latest Corbeau is a 12.75mm thick 40mm x 47mm stainless steel chronograph that includes double-domain sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating. Two Juno straps made from the surprise of recycled apples are standard equipment. Regarding versatility, the chronograph has a water resistance rating of 50m.
The case is completely brushed and has a signed push-pull crown. A series of circular pump pushers operate the chronograph function. From the side, the view is beautiful and shows a carved rug that helps the watch fit on the wrist.
Beautiful dial with famous logo
Like other rat chronographs, the Corbeau-Pam Am Edition has a sandwich dial. The main part is matte black with printed Super Luminova x1 Arabic numerals. Functionally, there are two off-white subdials. One is a 60-minute totalizer and the other serves as a 24-hour indicator. The left subdial is where collaborations are displayed. Classic airline logos live in the running seconds display. Large, bright hour and minute hands participate in a bright central chronograph second counter at the tip of a blue arrow. Finally, the clock has a 120-click, unidirectional external bezel on a scale of 12 hours.
Uses Meca-Quartz Seiko VK63
The screw-in caseback is another exciting detail from Corbeau, the Pan Am Edition. The airline emblem and rat names are embossed. It features a surface with shot blast and brushes. As expected, the watch uses the Seiko VK63 Meca-Quartz movement. This fan favorite is known for its mechanical feel, despite running on battery power. The battery life is usually about 3 years.
Availability and pricing
The rat is known for its affordable prices, and the Corbeau-Pan Am Edition will not be disappointed. The cost is 464 euros (e.g. VAT), comes with a two-year warranty and will start arriving at the buyer’s gateway in July. However, the catch is that the watch is limited to 200 pieces. Overall, I think it’s a cool piece at an approachable price. Plus, this should prove to be popular for fans of Golden Age of Air Travel.
