Welcome to another episode of Fratello on Air! This week we will discuss two common complications and their usefulness. That’s the type of nerd story we hope you enjoy!
Looking at complications is a big part of why many of us collect watches. It forms the cornerstones of several collections, including diving watches, chronographs, and alarms. But today we focus on two different watches that we tried and couldn’t have made any more different! The GMT and Persistent Calendar genres were popular in Clocks and Wonders 2025, so we’ll explain the usefulness of each.
Handgelenkskontrolle
We’re kidding before tackling two very different complications. This week we will keep it relatively easy and discuss some TV shows. Silos, 3 issues, dope thieves, Stranger Things, and you all appear in our chat. Balazs also quickly mentions some new balance 990V6 MISA Action Bronson untitled shoes he will buy. In the case of Handgelenkskontrolle, Mike wears his Ming 18.01 H41 with a newly received mango rubber strap. It’s a great colour! Balazs has been enjoying the transition of the Omega Speedmaster 145.022 since 1968. He has it with Joseph Bonnie’s perforated strap.
Complications – Useful or unhelpful?
For some reason, the clock and wonder 2025 had many GMT and enduring calendar complications. It was no surprise to see GMTS, but the flooding of the new perpetual calendar has paused. In this episode, we’ll talk about whether someone actually uses these features. Simply put, I think GMT is useful and a permanent calendar is relatively useless. GMT is potentially practical, but I think it might be better to be behind the desk in global work. A permanent calendar is interesting and expensive, but is everyone running in a row to keep going well? What’s more, is this type of complication a way to show off for the wearer or brand? Listen and tell us what you think. Do you use any of these complications?
Thank you for listening! Please let us know if you have any ideas for future shows.
