Welcome to this special article on Fratero Talk. This is the Watches and Wonders 2025 Debrief episode where Nacho, RJ, Daan and Lex share highlights of this year’s show. We will also discuss almost every brand and novelty released at the fair. The honorable mention will go to some of the novelties released at other events in town last week. It’s not unfair to say that this week, the biggest coming up in the world of watches, was recently. There are many things. So, whether you want to hear certain novelty or what our favorite is, beware of this long-form episode of this Frater talk. But now, tradition says it’s time to quickly check your wrists.
Wrist check
Dive into the action with RJ’s Rolex GMT-Master II 16713 “Root Beer” or “Clint Eastwood.” This two-tone Rolex is the latest watch to join RJ’s collection and the selected watches of Week and Wonders 2025. Its faded bezel has been replaced by a new one, making it look fresh and ready.
Dahn is still strong in his Cartier Santos Garbe XL. This has also been his choice in Geneva for the past few days, but obviously he doesn’t get enough of this chic yet sporty Gada watch.
Meanwhile, Nacho had lost his Omega Seamaster 2254 after a week with Pelagos FXD and his Vintage Calaversy Hunter Diver. So today I’m back on my wrist and it’s the near future.
Finally, Rex dives into the second half of the show with his watch and a mysterious detox watch, the Omega x Swatch Speedmaster moonswatch “Mission on Earth.” Maybe he was affected by seeing so many ceramic-based watches and decided to go back to Bioceramic for a day or two.
