One of my favorite things about being the owner of Panerai was the regular strap change. The replacement of the “shoes” has significantly changed the appearance of Panerai watches. Unfortunately, REM straps were not present at the time. With the Speedmaster Straps partnership, I was able to get to know the people in the company very well. Quality and creativity have created an exciting lineup of straps for a variety of Omega Speedmaster watches.
The legend of Florence from Panerai Watch
Today, REM is showing off Panerai Strap’s Firenze Legends collection. According to Totte El Siddig, co-founder of REM Strap, Panerai Collectors (Paneristi) is on top of the game when it comes to switching straps. The new Firenze Legends collection is a great alternative to the more classic Panerai straps.
Rem always sources Swedish skin. Additionally, all processing and production procedures are carried out in Sweden. The straps are made up of a single layer structure with a single keeper. REM matches all Firenze Legends straps with metal tubes (for spring bars). The straps come in three colors: black, cognac and natural. However, REM offers a variety of stitching options. The standard length of Firenze Legends is 125mm/75mm, but each strap is cut individually by the laser, so REM also offers custom lengths on request. These Rem straps are suitable for Panerai watches with lug spacing of 22mm, 24mm, and even 26mm. All straps come with pre-bendome buckles.
Panerai’s four collections
The Firenze Legends collection consists of several designs. Like the Fratello x REM Speedmaster strap, all patterns are laser engraved and manually colored in the REM studio. For now, there are four sub-collections of Firenze Legends straps. For example, IL Casco points to a deep hero and shows a detailed laser engraving of a diving helmet.
Another Panerai strap is referenza. The laser engraving is filled with luminous paint and is complemented by the silhouette of a Maiare (tourped submarine). Additionally, there are lines inside Firenze Legends, named Maiale. As these torpedo submarines have a special place in the history of Panerai, Rem will devote these straps to them.
Finally, for now, it’s REM’s Millenovecentocinquanta strap. We celebrate the 1950 Panerai Luminar (PAM000127) and all references using this case design. These straps have been expanded with outline outline numbers that form an almost abstract pattern.
Various widths and lengths
As mentioned above, all Rem Firenze legendary straps are available in widths of 22mm, 24mm and 26mm. The standard length is 125mm/75mm, but customers can also order custom lengths. All Firenze Legends straps are 4.5-5.5mm thick depending on the type.
