Hello and welcome to the story of Frater. Today’s episode takes on the challenge of building a 15,000 euro watch collection. Nacho, RJ and Lex calculated numbers and erupted leaves through catalogues, each being chosen as three modern (now available) to buy on a budget of 15,000 euros. It’s a hypothetical exercise and is meant to be a bit fun, but ultimately it’s still a challenge to try and make the most of their money by leveraging their budget. So, if you want to know that these three members of the Fratello team are going today, look it up and find out. But now it’s time to check your wrists.
Wrist check
Start a wrist check with RJ. Naturally, he has a decent chunk of gold tied to his wrist. This week we’re a tradition of 37mm Breguet in yellow gold. Breguet currently does not offer tradition in this size or material, but RJ hopes the brand will return to the case size of this sweet spot in the future. And we probably don’t even need to tell you that he’s also keen on making a comeback with Yellow Gold. For now, he has this in his bag (and on his wrist) and wears it at least once or twice a week.
Lex represents the quartz crowd with his Grand Seiko SBGX341. Its crisp white dial, subtle reddish orange accents, and a sturdy yet elegant rugged case create an undoubtedly attractive combination. Ever since he regained it from service, he had worn it in a rotation along with the Momotaro version of his beloved Oris Diver.
Nacho has made Tudor Pelagos FXD simple with a NATO strap. The black dialed FXD is Nacho’s most worn watch in 2024, and quickly infiltrating its title again in 2025. But that’s what we call early this year. That being said, we love the chance to win two years in a row.
Fratello Talks: Build a 15,000 euro watch collection
As mentioned before, the challenge of building a 15,000 euro watch collection should be a fun hypothesis. But everyone takes it quite seriously. In the end, they are all pretty pleased with their choices, but the possibilities are almost limitless. We won’t pass it completely here, but their picks include timeless classics and more modern options. As you can imagine, brands such as Tudor, Omega, Cartier, Grand Seico will appear. But if you want to know who can burn their budgets and what, you need to tune.
I would like to hear how you will tackle the challenge. What are your three (or more) picks on a budget of 15,000 euros? Which of the three guys do you like? Please let us know in the comments section below. Check out our new episodes of Fratello Talks next week!
