Hello. Welcome to Fratello Talk. Will this be the next new Rolex? In today’s episode, we put ourselves in the shoes of the brand’s product developers to discuss the types of watches Rolex will release next. We fully acknowledge that it’s virtually impossible to guess The Crown’s next move. Still, it was a fun thought experiment to see what direction it could go. We discuss surreal wishful thinking, tongue-in-cheek suggestions, and really great ideas that get us excited. But before you let go of the game, let’s get down to this week’s wrist check.

Today, Rex is back in double denim kicks with the Oris x Momotaro Diver’s Sixty-Five. Returning to its original strap, this rarely seen watch is a unique looking limited edition that certainly works very well. Rex is a fan, and now that he’s back from service, we’ll definitely see more on his wrists in the future. He’s going to work hard to add some bad color fade to the denim straps!
Thomas wears the VPC Type 37HW on his wrist to represent his brand. Today, he’s wearing a Delft Blue version that matches his blue and white outfit. It’s an exciting time at VPC headquarters, and those who pre-ordered the Type 37HW should receive delivery in just a few weeks. For those who have been putting off purchasing, we would be happy to know that we have a small amount of watches in stock that can be shipped immediately, but will be arriving soon. If you want to stay informed, sign up for the VPC newsletter at the bottom of the brand page.
Nacho is wearing the new Tudor Pelagos FXD GMT. While he usually sticks to wearing watches he owns on his podcast, this watch exemplifies the kind of iterative creativity that exists within the Rolex Group’s brands, and shows that great new watches are still on the way. We are making an exception because it actively represents the fact that He also seems to have a bit of an obsession with GMT these days, as you can see from his preferences. And while he’s certainly happy with this latest FXD, for now he’s still content to stick with the black dial “USN” model.
Fratello says: Could this be the next new Rolex?
We start with Nacho’s formula for creating new Rolex models. It’s simple. Choose a fascinating or exotic location, hobby, or mode of transportation and pair it with one of the “-Dweller,” “-Master,” or “-King.” Examples of possible outcomes include (but are not limited to) Jet Ski King, Casino Master, Sauna Dweller, etc. The final option is to simply select your favorite North American race track. That way, you can get your new Rolex in no time. Officials aside, in this episode we give some suggestions for what each person would like to see. If you want to hear them all, be sure to tune in.
Do you have a hot idea for an all-new Rolex? We’d love to hear it. Please leave your suggestions in the comments section below. Please feel free to ask questions in the 100th episode Q&A. Tune in next week for a new episode of Fratello Talks. See you soon!
