Hello and welcome to Fratello Talks! Today, Nacho, RJ and Thomas are here to show us their vintage watch wishlists. As you might imagine, the three spend a lot of time thinking about watches. But when they’re not writing about the latest releases, they’re often found coveting (and scouring) for vintage watches online – a dangerous side of the job. Today, inspired by RJ’s latest object of desire, the three will break down the watches that are currently on their favorite vintage (and neo-vintage) lists. But first, let’s take a look at what they’re wearing on their wrists today.
Wrist Check
Let’s start with RJ, who is wearing the Omega Seamaster Professional Apollo 11 50th Anniversary LE. While he hasn’t worn the watch on the podcast in a while, you can be sure that not a week goes by without him having the watch on his wrist at least once. Can you blame him?
Thomas proudly represents his brand, VPC, with a dove grey Type 37HW on his wrist. Owning a watch brand means you get to wear watches that you make. That’s it! We’ll be sure to ask for at least a change of color next time he appears, but for now, you know what Thomas has on his wrist.
Speaking of vintage watches, Nacho is wearing a 1961 Omega Seamaster ref. 14762. It’s on its original beads-of-rice bracelet, giving it a gritty, old-school vibe, and the perfectly caramelized dial gives it loads of character. Of course, it’s not the only vintage watch in his collection, but this Seamaster is a perfect example of vintage value, available for well under 1,000 euros.
Fratello Talks: Vintage Watch Wishlist
As we’ve said before, being in the watch media, it’s only natural that we’re always on the lookout for great vintage timepieces. Not everyone is addicted to them as intensely, but Nacho, RJ and Thomas are all obsessed. Today, we’re going to highlight some of the watches they’ve had their eye on lately. Some of the watches they chose have been on their lists for quite some time, while others are just something they’ve recently become obsessed with. We won’t reveal them here, so tune in and listen to the show to find out more.
In the meantime, we’d love to hear from you. What vintage watches have caught your eye lately? Is there a particular model you’ve been on the hunt for? Leave your story in the comments section below.
